Point of order: you guys mention Hollow Knight as a seminal Metroidvania a lot and reference it being on the hard drive, but in the actual Hollow Knight episode you both deleted it. I don't think you ever reinstated it, unless I missed a celestial hard drive episode. #JusticeForHollowKnight. Also, please cover Warcraft 3. The hero mechanic adds a lot to the real time strategy formula, and the story is classic.

Gothic 1. Did open world fantasy before morrowind and has an unusual vibe. Probably pretty clunky to play now but will make for interesting conversation.

OK I GOT ONE! You guys said to recommend a game and I'm going with No Rest for the Wicked. It's the same devs who made the Ori games and it's beautiful and also kind of a soulslike, so it would be very interesting to see what both of you think of it
