To flesh this out a bit for those interested, Michael mixed up a bad and a good example of quantum entanglement. His example with the cards was good, the one where you flip the spin of one particle and the one far away also flips was just not true. Quantum entanglement can’t transfer matter but it also can’t transfer information since you have no control over what state the particle you kept with you will turn out to be. Einstein thought it was freakin’ weird that quantum measurement, which is the determination of quantum states behaved this way.

Great video! Loved how he explained quantum information theory. It also really justifies the TNG move to make Transportation its own department. I've never felt more vindicated for TNG-era Chief O'Brien.

This was.... unexpected. But don't you let them hurt you again!! It's like a friend getting back with the ex, you're never sure how to respond when you've been crapping on them since the break up. (But the video itself was really good, nice to see a return to scripted longer videos by Michael)
