Patrick Stewart did this movie after Star Trek Generations and First Contact. The TNG movies were still goin but maybe that’s also a problem. It’s good work so he wouldn’t need the money….then necessarily but maybe he recognized all he could get was work as Jean Luc and he needed to do something very different from a Star Trek in hopes of branching out more before the movies finally did dry up eventually

I remember seeing this when it came out, (USA Network, I think) and I found the ending devastatingly tragic. But I think I saw "Ran" and Ian Holm in "King Lear" at roughly the same time, so that might have colored my perceptions.

We are weirdos in Monday Movie Night chat, but we have fun. And the movie choices are routinely interesting and entertaining; I never would have seen Cemetery Man without y'all.

Did Katy move to the mountains? 🤭

I really needed this. My news feed that I normally listen to at work is currently filled with nothing but judicial excrement. Thanks for watching this for me, I can tell I would be absolutely enraged if I sat through it. End up feeling like I did at the end of the the Vicious Kind. I’d still pay five grand to have never seen that. This movie also really sounds like a cross between Mulholland Drive and that Clooney movie the American. Absolute bonkers.

I had every intention of going to sleep right now until I saw that thumbnail. I need to listen now.
