Michael and Adam engage in the verbal equivalent of a FromSoftware game, what with all the dodges, parries, slashes, or even “shoot-shoots.” It’s a conversational tête-à-tête with our hosts defending their preferences and philosophy of what makes games special. This time it’s 2019’s Sekiro: the story about Wolf, a shinobi, on a quest to rescue his lord.

Are you going to tap Black Myth, or the politics a non starter?

About 45 tries I’d guess. I finally did it with a blood loss build.

I really want to know how long it took Adam to beat the last boss of the elden ring dlc…

Bloodborne over Sekiro is a travesty! Sekiro is a seminal fromsoft experience, I can’t believe this wasn’t a keep!

I like the developer profile/catalogue episode idea.

Sekiro laid bare thay all the other Fromsoft Games don't actually have a "get good" mentality. The difficulty comes from a lot of game knowledge, leading to pitfall builds, not knowing key weapons for your playstyle exist, etc. Sekiro doesn't really have that, and therefore you as a player can ONLY get good as a way to progress.

If there's a sequel should it be Shadows die Thrice? Or Shadows die Twice Twice
