Mike, I think you'd like Majora's Mask a lot, given your stated preference for weird/dark/melancholy vibes and tones. The transformation sequences of using the masks to inhabit the bodies of fallen heroes (of the Deku, Goron, and Zora tribes) was legitimately transfixing as a kid, and the surreal atmosphere as everyone sits around grappling with their impending doom from the falling moon is great.

I did some digging into the lore discussions about Echoes, and the implications of the final boss being just a big version of your little guy. Apparently the idea has been around for a while that the center triangle in the Triforce is actually a fourth god sealed in the middle, which lines up with EoW. If the internet is to be believed.

I enjoy the episodes where y’all don’t like the game a lot more than the episodes where you do. I think hearing a reasonable disassembly of a games weaknesses is far more informative and enjoyable than just hearing why a game rules. That’s why I’m SOOOO hoping for a Forespoken 2.
