I watched this movie with my girlfriend. I thought it was cool and cute and a little weird but in ways that felt subtle similarly to how subtle the magic is. My girlfriend thought it was "ok".

I LOVED this movie growing up. 100% agree with the general feeling that this is a "woman's movie" - showing the relationships between all the women. I tried to show this to my husband years later and he just wasn't interested. I dig that Derrick loves this movie.

For the movie “1984” they had a whole awful pop album by eurythmics made for it by studio mandate. The film maker was like “okay”, used the melody of like one of the songs for a character’s theme and the rest was traditional scoring.
