Not bad. Not for me. Couldn't get fully into this no matter how many times I listened. If you made me choose, I might return to Sweetness Follows and Ignoreland. Can't really fuck with dude's voice, I'm afraid. 💿💿.𝟓/𝟓 Awesome episode though!!! Krista is hilarious, loved hearing you guys reminisce. For me personally my big problem is I go back and listen to/watch/play something that changed my life as a kid and realize it was a steaming pile of dogshit today and it makes me question my overall opinion.

Commie winna tra-da waaake her up!! Automatic for the People is right in my wheelhouse: jangly guitars, unique voice and happy sounding songs with sad or strange lyrics. Sidewinder, Man on the Moon and Monty got a Raw Deal are the three stand-outs for me but I got along really well with the whole album. I added the rest of REM’s discography to my to-listen list, too. (It’ll be a while though.) Some other thoughts: 1) I know he’s not the focus of this ep but oddly, this went up on the anniversary of Andy Kaufman’s death - spooooky!! 2) my mom always sings along to Orange Crush and the One I Love when it’s on the radio so back when REM was breaking up I was like ‘hey did you hear?’ And she said ‘I don’t like REM’ LOL 4) Montgomery Clift will return… when we get to London Calling (whenever that may be) 3) Krista is a joy, welcome back!!
