My personal series, Drogune, is ramping up production (as much as I can manage). One of those projects will be a collection of short stories. I’ve attached three rough drafts for your enjoyments/review. The mission statement of this patreon was to produce stuff and put it out there, even if it wasn’t polished and complete. Well these are most definitely in rough shape, but I’m working on ‘em by dingy.
Another project in the works is Drogune: Compendium. For those who missed it: this book will be an illustrated guide to the Drogune universe covering the grand scope of the Cosmos, details of the realms, the people that live there, and other bits of trivia. Thank you again to the folks who gave their input for what they’d like to see in the book! I’ve got a sample of if here for you to enjoy as well.
I cannot properly convey just how appreciative I am that you guys have stuck with me during these sparse updates. Your support and generosity is humbling, especially in these trying times. I wish you and yours all the best.

Pulled up my chair to read all of these and it's been a wonderful way to spend the evening. "Last Escort" was a strong start - it was short and hit all of it's emotional beats very well, knowing exactly what it was setting out to do and hitting the mark perfectly. Having spent much of my life as a civilian alongside an RAF base, you really got the rookie and senior dynamic down to a tea. After reading that, I thought that surely the other two stories couldn't top this, but I was wrong. "Never King" was such a journey that I feel like will be very important lore to know at some point. I mean, I am mostly trying to hold off on Drogune until you guys get the final pass out, so I assume this is the case, anyway. I thought that I'd guessed the twist early on, but thankfully it ended up not being as gruesome as I'd feared, because the new Never King seems like too much of an engaging character to just toss out like that. It was maddening, in a good way, to hit the point where the story stopped, so I look forward to seeing the finished version "Saltpelt" was hands down my favourite. Which is impressive, because all of these were excellent. Aww man, it's a seafaring story! Those are always the best! Rime was just the most likeable guy and by contrast, you sold Baha as a scummy villain so well. When they reached the part with the babies and a few of the crew followed Rime in solidarity, that was such a great moment. One of those "gives you faith in people" kind of moments. Then the justice being served towards the end being so ominous was a good touch as well. All of these are going to stick with me and I'm grateful that you're writing all this extra prose to expand upon the whole world of Drogune.
