Version 0.2.5.2 Release (2nd hotfix at bottom of post)

In the previous update, I removed the original implementation of Sneaking (skill given by a God Statue), and in this update, it's been added back into the game as an upgradeable skill, along with the necessary skill books. Various sneaky images are in place for Lani, and the original sneak scene in the Temple has been expanded slightly.
Other than that, this update is not really about sexy stuff... I know, I know, booooo. I've been going through the bugs, fixing spelling errors, adding a lot of information into the mirror menus (both Status and Title Progress are actually useful to the player now). All in all, this was a very necessary housekeeping and quality of life update, so I hope that everyone enjoys it.
The next version will include more skin. Promise.

Updates:
- The Sneak skill tree is active and sneak books have been added to shops and reward lists. Sneak-related battle skills (opened at Sneak level 5) are not fully tested.
- Sneak content is added for Lani's bedroom at night.
- Some additional camping renders for the tent scenes with Lani.
- Sneak content has been unlocked in the Temple with Bess, and a slight extension has been made to allow the player to catch her based on sneak level.
- Night-time is now treated like any other active time of day - you will no longer randomly not be able to sleep when an event is active and will instead be able to choose to leave your room at any night.
- Soul Box has become an upgradable skill and levels along with the highest number of item slots you have filled in your inventory (counted every morning). The maximum level is currently 3.
- Mirror menu now shows discovered titles, non-discovered titles, full stat breakdown, earned skills with skill descriptions, and the player's current stat-modifier values (+% from titles).
- Additional (intermediate) skill books have been added.
- Two titles have been added ('Rogue' and 'Shadow Thief'). They are unlocked via the Sneak skill at levels 4 and 9 respectively.
- Guild rewards added through level 6 and Temple rewards added through level 7.
Fixes:
- Potions can now be used while camping.
- Title modifiers will now accurately buff Endurance and Agility.
- Title modifiers will now accurately increase Magic Book experience gain.
- Title modifier for Jack of All level 10 now works correctly.
- Can no longer get unlimited battle rewards (sry).
- Scroll Bars are now attached to shop windows.
- Input menu has been removed from Android version... may add it again after further investigation.
- Various typos and other programming mishaps.
Known Issues:
- 'Current Progress' section of the Mirror is outdated.
- No player battle skills have animations at this time.
- Not all player battle skills have been tested. Skills with effects other than 'damage' may not work correctly and could cause a game crash.
- Skills may appear twice in battle menus.
- Blood wolves may appear invisible before first action.

To update from 0.2.5.1 to 0.2.5.2, just place the attached god_events.rpy file in your game directory and replace the existing file.

im having a problem when trying to load a save from v0.2.2 once it crashes it pulls up a crash txt file, i dont know how to read them or id see what the problem is (honestly rather leave the fixing to the devs of any game i play) if you want me to upload it somewhere or somthing let me know

If anyone downloaded the original Android file and is getting a Play Store error, I have a new file uploaded that corrects the problem. Just delete the first one and install this one (same name, didn't iterate a new version).

Ok! I found the problem... it was a stupid mistake on my part. Since you're on PC, I've included a patch file to correct this error; just move the file into the game directory and replace the old version. I'll also be releasing a full hotfix version hopefully later tonight, depending on how fast my internet wants to move. edit: The file in question is attached to the bottom of the post (god_events.rpy). This file goes into your base game directory and just replaces the existing file.

Ok. Sorry about the problems. I'll take a look at the code and see if I can see anything obvious that may be causing a hard crash like that. It's unfortunate that it didn't throw an error message.

Yes, this is the version. it's a new game. it does not report errors to me. PC game. unfortunately I don't remember any other information having saved after arriving from the Green Man. I am now retrying a game from scratch after re-downloading the game to see if it gives me the same error.

It goes directly to menu without an error? Hmm... First of all, go ahead and try to download a fresh copy and extract the files again; sometimes things just didn't get fully downloaded. Your save should still work even with a fresh install. If that doesn't help, let me know a few things and I'll look into it this afternoon and try to find a patch for you: - what version of the game are you playing? (I assume this one, but you know, best to ask) - what are you playing on? (Android, pc, etc) - is this a new game or a save from a previous version? - what item did you get before the puppet scene (the first soul box reward is triggered by earning your first item after the initial sword)? - what day is it in game?

I have a problem with the version, as soon as the green guy gives me the soul box he sends me back to the menu, help :(
