I think the need for 1st and 2nd blood from the player characters would make a "solo" carousel experience fatal very quickly.

You know, I'm curious about something. In Carousel, has there ever been a solo player? Carousel is a team game, so solo-clearing is likely to be just about the most lethal thing you could do, but anyone that pulled it off for a while would have to be tremendously skilled. I'd also be curious how project rewind would manage to kill someone like that off. Granted, they'd probably run into a storyline that's literally impossible to clear alone and get killed without help, but it'd be interesting if someone like that did exist. Also, falling forever has to be one of the less pleasant ways to end up in carousel.

Huh. How do you dismount a waterfall? Let's see... The boat could grow bird wings... The waterfall could turn into a series of waterslides.... They could float for a bit in outer space to bleed off momentum and change their angle... Giant cloud... Jello mold... Void... Snake... Or their tropes might save them? Definitely possible this section is safe to travel thanks to magic.
