I have to say, I've watched this with at least 10 reactors (my memory is failing me now) and this is my far most enjoyable time with a reactor! We are totally symptico (even though I am SO much older! I was hesitant to even tell family members that I loved this show - ack!) Some thought I was over obsessed, they've gotten over it now. But, I have to confess, if I was 30 years younger I would be totally dreaming of Michael C Hall. I have to say I actually met him in April and it was the event of my life!

I really like the way they did the story for this last episode. Even if Rudy and Dexter shared a common trauma, they had really different ways of dealing with it. I am a strong proponent of nurture over nature, so I think Dexter made a really tough but correct choice to value the life he has made over the life he was given. That ending was so weird but funny. Great reaction!

Remember that Rudy is a serial killer with no empathy or feelings. So he assumes that Dexter being the same will have no real feelings for Deb. I do actually think he thought Dexter would kill her. I love that the ending is a throwback to the original book by Jeff Lindsay, Darkly dreaming Dexter. He ends with "yeah they see me, I'm one of them. In their darkest dreams". Such an amazing season! I go back and forth, when I'm watching season 1 its my favorite, when I'm watching 2 its the best.
