Great update, regarding your remark about the quality of the pastures. Is there yedoma/frozenlöss underneath the topsoil in the park? Is it in the future maybe possible to get an excavator/bulldozer out there and create a (small) area where you remove the topsoil so you can put the animals right on top of the yedoma. Obviously you would need intensive drainage/pumps, but it would be interesting to study the special properties of the actual pleistocene soils. Also in continuance of Han Olffs studies of the bacteria in the topsoil and stomachs of animals in Oostvaardersplassen and the enormous biomass it can sustain in that small area. Anyway just a thought, good luck this summer!

I always enjoy your updates. You are one of the few organizations I donate to where it seems you are making a direct and positive impact on the future. Good luck to you on the bison and musk oxen transport. Oh and fixing the crawling transporter. Those foals are adorable. Glad to know you have some similar-minded partners to work with trading and helping the animals too.

Always love to see an update from you! Best of luck with this summer’s expeditions, hopefully this will be the year musk ox can finally join the park.

Your work is so heartening. While policies are negotiated endlessly, .you are doing real, good work on the ground. Thank you.

Good luck with the Musk Ox. You have been having "bad luck" every time you try to bring them. Hope everything goes to plan this time. PS: Now that it's end spring, did the beetles survive?

Thank you Nikita as always for the update. Wish you the best of luck for the bison and musk ox expedition. We will keep supporting you! - Robert
