January 2023 Monthly Update

We're finally in 2023... 2022 seemed to just roll past so quickly. It was a big year for us, and we released a bunch of different things.
We released Amelie's Chinese translation (our first time localizing and releasing a full game!), The Divine Speaker launched (our biggest project, plus the first one we started), start;again launched (a very technically complicated project done in only a month) and, to top it all off, we released The Divine Speaker: A Bounty Hunter's First Christmas, our very first TDS afterstory.
Though Dreambound isn't planned to be released in 2023, we're hoping to work on more small projects along the way that can be released this year. More afterstories/side stories (Illran/Veras or Caspian/Aemyl, anyone?) as well as a few other secret projects and ideas that we're working on.
We also plan to release the prequel, The Sun and the Moon, this year and start working on the next bigger TDS universe project!
With all of that said, lets jump into the monthly update!
The Sun and the Moon

CGs are still plodding along with a handful left to complete - but we're super pleased to announce that every background in the prequel is now complete!
Here's a look at a new sketch and a finished background by our BG artist Vui:

Programming
Programming wise we're finishing up with Lucius' second massive scene at the moment - which moves into an even bigger third scene later.

Beta Build
Don't forget we uploaded a brand new beta build for those on the Solaris tier for the prequel last month!
Dreambound
Art
Sinran has been working on CGs, as well as the backer character sprites for the awesome people that grabbed that tier during our Kickstarter.
Here's a litle preview of a new character:
Reuben! He's a lover of reading who will appear, again, a little in the common route - and then later in Kaine's route. We'll have his finished sprite to show off next month!
Our merch artist Kanapy also finished up with Ivan's dakimakura, which now puts us in the position to send them off for production.
Programming
Programming work is going alongside editing at the moment of Crow's route. We're making good progress on the scenes and we're very pleased at the direction its taking.
