Welcome to our newest monthly update where we update you on all things Two and a Half Studios. As always, these will come out every month on the 6th (AEST).
It's November - that means it's only ONE MONTH until the release of Beyond the Bet! How exciting is that?
We're still working on tweaking and polishing the five new days and four new endings, but we're really excited to soon show you all what we've been working on.
We also have some other exciting updates, so make sure to read ahead carefully!
A Date with Death - Beyond the Bet
Art
Artwise, we're still working on the last two CGs for the DLC. We're really excited to be so close to completion!
I'll mention once again that after the DLC releases, we will begin working on the less urgent art tasks - we'll have a patch early next year with the Kickstarter created clothes and accessories, as well as begin working on the custom couple artworks.
We've also been working with the lovely Orri on our artbook cover - you may have seen the post yesterday, if you're on the correct tier. Here's a tiny preview of the completed one:
This has been a really fun project, and we're excited to see the artbook coming together.
We've also been working on two brand new backgrounds for the DLC. We're working with the lovely Nichole Isip this time around. Here's a little look at the prop design for our first background!
Programming
Not only are all four endings in game, we've playtested all of them! Functionally, the DLC is now complete, though we need to go back through and add in some assets when they're complete.
Music
The wonderful Flehmann has now completed all four original songs for the DLC! He'll be releasing them on streaming services at the same time the DLC releases, so keep an eye out for that.
PAX Australia
We had a great time at PAX Australia last month! We were promised one computer and somehow ended up with four, which was pretty awesome.

A Date with Death Anniversary Week Celebrations
From December 6-December 12 (AEDT), we'll be holding the official A Date with Death Anniversary Week Celebrations! This will be an entire week of releases, giveaways, and a fun celebration of A Date with Death's one year anniversary.
We'll be sharing more about this later in the month, so keep an eye out!
Merch
Exciting news - 21 boxes/360KG of Grimmy merch arrived at our home a week ago! That means we now have 95% of all the merch produced and ready to ship for our Kickstarter. Once the last piece of merch arrives in the next two weeks, we'll begin shipping out packages.
After that, we'll have any leftovers available on our webstore, and maybe even bring some to a few Aussie cons next year!
The Willowmist Emporium of Antiques and Curiosities
The Willowmist Emporium of Antiques and Curiosities is our unannounced, upcoming shop/narrative sim about running your aunt's antique store for three months and meeting the strange inhabitants of the small and isolated Willowmist.
We're only in very early development, but we plan to begin working on it in earnest once Beyond the Bet is complete.
Art
We showed off a sketch for a brand new character, Emmett, last month! We'll be posting his completed sprite later this month.
On top of that, we've actually finished the sprites for all 5 love interests! They're a varied and fun cast, so I think you will love them.

UI
Tris is also still working on the UI for us! It will be complete hopefully early next year. There's still quite a few screens to go!

Other Updates
General Life Update
I don't usually do these, but those that know me personally or follow me on Twitter are aware that my beautiful boy Bing (my pride and joy) recently went into heart failure and has since been diagnosed with RCM, a disease of the heart that unfortunately has no cure and a very poor prognosis.
This is taking time to come to terms with, but my baby boy is still kicking and responding well to his meds. While I'm still working on everything to the best of my ability, once the DLC releases I will likely be a little more quiet while I spend time with him in December, if he's still around. At the moment, I'm just hoping I'll get to spend my birthday with him this month.
Don't worry, posts here won't slow down at all! Everything will be running as normal <3
