I always take the Stain scene as his conviction is like bloodlust in Naruto, or Conqueror Haki in One Piece, or Spirit pressure in Bleach. His conviction and ideals are so strong that it made him seem unstoppable. How can you beat someone who is that serious about something. It's truly amazing.
Fenixnade
I know it doesn't get explained that way, I always thought that by his rib piercing his lung... he ended up ingesting some of his own blood and froze himself. (personal headcanon)

I feel like it can’t be overstated on what it means for Endeavor to be #2, like the only reason he’s not #1 is because there’s someone like All Might, but I don’t think he would have pushed himself as far if All Might wasn’t standing in his way. I can’t say more about it but I started out a real Endeavor hater like everyone else.
Blaster man1129
I never thought about it but yeah that makes sense

We're told his rib pierced his lung, don't spoil the result
Blaster man1129
but, he didn't die? how did you come to that conclusion when it was never stated that he died ever?

This is a bit late but I’m glad she noticed how sort of acknowledged how great of a hero Endeavor is. On one hand yes he’s not the greatest person around but on the other no one can deny that he’s currently one of the greatest heroes. Second only to All might of all people, that’s no easy task.

It's always so interesting when I see people react to Stain's little speech at the end. Its hard to accurately describe what it's like to be in the presence of someone in a bloodlust state of mind. Just something about how they move and speak sets all your hairs on end and triggers every survival instinct you have at once. I don't want to say it's one of those things that you know if you know and you don't if you don't. But from an artistic perspective I think this was well done. Heroes in this show aren't killers or even solders so I doubt many have ever experienced someone in this state of mind.

So Reiner, Bertholdt, Erwin, and a young Grisha walk into an alleyway....

Funnily enough - as a first time watcher I wouldn't have thought of it as anything more than Kenny speculation, if it weren't for this comment :P
chris
all of his focus was being on a hero including raising his kids.. the same reason his number 2 is also the same reason he sucks as a human being.. thats what it takes to be number 2 on your own
Letts React
I have some good news for you then
Dangitronepas
Montana gets it. She's stain-pilled
Peter Amet
Legit, I never liked his arc cause they make him so cool and he intimidates even Endeavor who's shown to be better atm than All Might then he just dies. MHA always has such cool ideas then....yk
Peter Amet
Kenny is the MHA fan lol, he knows what he doin im sure
Letts React
Noted! I feel like every anime on the planet possesses a "going beyond what your normal power is to attain a better version of your power" function, so I didn't see it as a spoiler
Phoenix Mackenzie
18:00 love those blue flames, blue ones have always been our favourite 👀👀 also Montana is reeeally gonna hate endeavour when she find out about you know who
fr0st
My man rolled a nat 20 on intimidation and froze a bunch of professional and student superheroes in their tracks, including the number 2 hero.
Æther Paradox
Montana will LOVE Re-Destro. And that is all I’m sayin.
Maks Lesniewski
What I think has happened at the end of the episode, although it wasn't outright stated, is that when his lung was pierced, Stain accidentally ingested his own blood and paralyzed himself.
Danny C
Can’t remember if he’s read the manga, but yeah he’s caught up!
LeFlaneur
Awakenings are very spoiler-y Kenny 😏
Brendan O'Connor
Yes, he’s finished Season 6
Juan
Is Kenny all caught up on the Anime , new here!
Danny C
Rewatching this season with you two has made me realize just how much Horikoshi made us dislike the hell of out Endeavour from the beginning. Rightfully so, but man, the show does a really good job with accountability for his actions. They’re never diminished in any way
Danny C
Just based on what has been shown about quirk awakenings, I think the theory would have made sense if it still involved people’s blood somehow. But this just impacted the “effect” ingesting blood, so I think it probably isn’t the case
Danny C
Same! Seeing the journey and how Montana talks about it is gunna be great
The Lorax
I had actually never heard the quirk awakening theory before for Stain but I kind of like it. His quirk momentarily awakening a allowing him to paralyze everyone around him. Though I also don't think it is likely intended to be a quirk awakening by the author. Both because of how early in the story it is, and it just seems to far from the usual restrictions of his quirk
TrixieTurner
Man I was surprised by how cool Endeavor was, hes not just number 2 because hes strong but because hes good at his job.
TrixieTurner
I'm of the mind the stain stuff was just stylistic, the way people in anime are frozen by killing intent. Just how intense someone ese getting in peoples mind.
Jinchuriki87
OMG I can't wait to see Montana watch THAT character arc!!!! If you know, you know 😁😁
