Do you know where the bubbles scene was inspired by? Answer, 20 years ago the accepted theory about the Bermuda Triangle became methane gas bubbles naturally erupting from the ocean floor solved the mystery. Gas bubbles can easily sink ships of any size via loss of buoyancy and the methane is flammable or messes with the gauges when it comes into contact with plane engines. Lelouch copied how the Bermuda Triangle sank ships and used it to sink Suzaku's armada.

CG has a motif of misidentificating types of love/hate: hundreds y/o C.C. with Mao and Lelouch (both 17), kids wanting to marry family, Kallen ideolizing Zero, whatever's up with Suzaku and Lelouch and now Rolo and Lelouch. Do you think this plays into a bigger theme?

Human connection is at the center of Lelouch's motivation, in the roof he imagines Nunnally, SUZAKU, Kallen, even Nina. Has this made him a worse strategist than someone like Light, who thought himself too superior to have friends?

It's been said before that nunually was Lelouch's reason for living which makes sense given his dark past partly with his father saying he was nothing ever since he was born. How do you feel it was presented in this episode and what do you think Lelouch's plan is at the end?
