I know I'm way behind, but I wanted to leave this comment about a technical issue -- on this video at least, during the end when you guys are commenting about the ep and answering questions, I felt like the background music mix was too loud. It was almost interfering with being able to concentrate on what you guys were saying. I know you're many eps ahead by now, but you should consider lowering that music volume a bit when it's playing behind you talking.

It is; someone asked Alex, and that was basically his answer. (See my comment below for a little more detail on that.)

Big K has the right answer -- someone asked Alex about this, and he did say it's just for design reasons. Smaller characters with skinny arms look better with the smaller hands that 4 fingers makes possible. If you go and look -- Gideon has 5 fingers, even though he's a little kid. But that's because Gideon has really thick arms, so a five-fingered hand doesn't look weird on the end of his arms.

Mine opens the Vimeo webpage and all it says is "Sorry, Because of it's privacy settings, this video cannot be played here". I thought it wasn't playing because I use a VPN but I turned it off and it still says the same thing. Do you use the Vimeo app or the webpage?
Elviira Lehtonen
I cant use it, updated it and still doesnt work :(( just says sorry, issue detected EVERYTIME

Psycho-Pass would work as a great series after Code Geass also.
Bryan
What series are y’all deciding on after Code geass?! I kinda like the theme you have going on with one of your series being a more big brain. Then a cartoon and 2 shonen. I think a great series to have after is death parade. There is a deathnote cameo in it and it’s also pretty short but Its great and has a lot of psychological stuff

Try in a browser.

Idk how ppl are having issues on mobile… maybe they need to update the app? Mine works great never had a problem
Big K
I think it’s legitimately just because it’s easier to animate smaller people with less fingers

Can't watch on phone. Video is private.

Bro it’s not that serious, we just thought the magic copier made a magic copy that looks really realistic haha, it’s easy to miss some details here and there
Scar
There isn’t any real explanation for why certain characters have 4 or 5 fingers, just a silly little cartoon thing. The only thing to remember is the 6 fingered hand on the journals and in this episode specifically, you notice Stan in the bunker using a 6 fingered glove
Kollie123
There’s no detail to catch? Printing out copies of pages in a book is not the same as recreating an exact replica of a book, and the invisible ink later in the episode all out confirms it
Darthwin Wright
Unless you did a poll or have some numbers to back that up I think it is clear that not everyone will catch every detail on the first watch.
Darthwin Wright
I can also confirm that using the web browser works when using a phone, so it appears the app is the main thing having issues.
Letts React
try a computer!
Kollie123
It was very clear the the audience which was the real dipper and which were the copies though, just like it was very clear that stan was printing out copies that simply do not look like the actual books old pages lol
Darthwin Wright
I wouldn't call it too strange, considering there was a magic copy machine that brought things to life. The main factor would be what would be easier copying the entire book to fool Dipper or copying the few pages he needs and giving back the journal.
Kollie123
Weird L on the real journal part towards the beginning lol, it was very clearly the original given back, the copies of the pages stan was making just would not pass as real, along with the invisible ink later
Zo Hunter
Stan gave Dipper back the original journal. Stan copied it bc he just needed the info and directions inside the book (before he realized there was invisible ink), not the book itself

Video is still private
