The creators of the show clarified that the love potion only works for a certain amount of time. It's supposed to give new couples a chance. It wears off and, if the couple realizes that they don't like each other, they break up. Robbie and Tambry are no longer drugged into loving each other by the time the festival started. Just want to let people know so they aren't creeped out by the moral implications of a love potion.

To be fair the only people that know Mable used a potion are dipper and the Love God. For the rest of the friend group she as most just talked them into getting together.

This is the episode I kinda disliked labels character yes she is a kid and make stupid mistakes but she is never really punished for it yet if dipper makes a mistake she always makes a big deal about it and makes fun of him and as someone who is similar to dipper it sucks to be teased none stop about your flaws

Definitely not my favorite episode (love potions in general are pretty... questionable...) Would have been nice if people were also not okay with Mable messing with Robbie and Tambry in the first place, not just when it came back to bite them, and could have mentioned in the episode that the potion wears off after a while so Robbie and Tambry actually do like each other by the end, the potion just gives them a push. But still fun, especially Stan's balloon. But from here on out, its non stop banger episodes for the rest of the show!

So, cute little fact, Alex Hursh wanted to have two ladies kiss in the episode, but Disney told him no. So as a protest, he had Mabel wear the rainbow sweater, along with all the other rainbows in the episode. And another thing, it was said somewhere (I think the printed version of journal 3) that the potion wears off after a few hours. So, if they're not in love after it wears off, then it was never meant to be and they just break up. But if they're still in love after, then all the love potion did was hurry the process along.

Easily my least favorite episode of the series, the love potion plot line just does not sit right with me, I don’t like that everyone just says eh whatever to two characters who have been love drugged, and I feel like it has a very flimsy/lazy reason to explain away why it’s okay
