It was briefly mentioned in the second to last episode, but revealing your technique to your enemy makes it stronger. It's pretty much selling your advantage for extra power.

Haaahhh, for once I have to say that the original really is superior. Mahito, Junpei, Yuuji... All of them sound so much better and more... their Character in the original Japanese. Especially Mahito. This VA doesn't really bring that absolute over the top childish energy that he needs.

It's an important one since it is actually used in the plot and also very cool as a concept for explaining the anime trope in-universe.

That was a real Juju Stroll. The "preview" in it was nonsense, both in the words and the animation, and the actual preview followed it. It reminds me a LOT of the previews from Food Wars. I'm guessing it's meant to be an homage to that.

Just to clarify currently this season takes place in 2018 so there's a lot of modern stuff and there's a lot of older ancient Japanese elements as well. Its a really good blend

When Mahito was talking to Junpei on their first conversation, Junpei told him that if they killed his mom he would loose it. Without realizing he gave Mahito the best weapon to use against him

Revealing the technique is like a trade off. So it benefits the opponent by giving them info so in return evens out by strengthening the technique. Also a clever way to give exposition to the watcher lol

I think y’all missed the part a couple episodes ago where nanami explained to Yuji, that explaining your cursed technique out loud to your opponent amplifies it/makes it stronger.

Also, the scenes shown after that cursed spirit showed up were basically an after action report after everything was over, and then back a little bit to immediately after (yuji talking to nanami, and then junpei putting on his mom's outfit and going to the school)

To clarify on nanami leaving, he knew his technique was a bad matchup with mahito, and that if he kept trying to fight him it would likely not go well for him (especially since he was injured already) so he went with option 2 HOPING it might kill him, but more so just a means for him to escape.
