I felt like this arc was so out of place and a sharp change at first...but then once the concert happened, I realized how much my heart NEEDED it after the heaviness of the previous arc. It was refreshing and fun and it gave us an insight to Jiro and expanded on her character, which was much needed.

I have always wondered what the hell Harima had to steal to end up on a list alongside Destro and All For One. All For One basically stole a country.

The English singing was much more surprising in the Japanese dub but I like that they used Crissy's audio for both.

Fun fact, while Jiro is voiced by the same VA as Misaka normally, her singing voice is done by Crissy Costanza, lead singer of (my favorite band) Against the Current.

Mineta's turning point is definitely in Season 5, after Mina pulls A Clockwork Orange on him. Basically after that he doesn't do anything questionable again IIRC

The aspect of seeing regular day to day life of the students is honestly one of the reasons I love this show so much. Feels like it really adds to the characters by giving you more opportunities to understand their motivations and possibly connect with them! (Also, if y'all haven't already watched the concert...I once again recommend actually listening to the song and including the lyrics! It's a great song in general AND in regards to this arc for jiro!)

Soooo happy you like the concept of this arc. There’s an attitude with shounen sometimes that every arc and villain should be higher stakes than the last, and I think MHA really excels this arc by taking a step back after Overhaul and making time for character growth and emotional complexity. It’s really unfortunate to see people reach this arc and dismiss it as filler because the kids aren’t in, like, mortal peril for once and are actually participating in the school they’re enrolled in

you realize UA isn't really just a hero school right? It's more so a quirk centric school. There's less hero course students there than other types.

As far as the other classes being mad at 1A, id say they have no right. You go to a hero school, if you don't wanna put up with villain/hero dynamic go to a normal person school.

Bakugo has always been intelligent, emotionally and otherwise. It's just that because of his attitude, people assume that he's just a stupid, brutish jerk, without paying attention to all of the depth he really hides.
