Gojo's way of teaching is mostly letting his students learn by actually experiencing danger and fighting curses. The Kyoto students, taught by Utahime, are more about mentorship and actual learning in school. JJK released rankings of both school's students, and Gojo's students always place on top when it comes to practical grading and Utahime's students always place on top when it comes to school grading. Except Todo, who excels at both.

Gojo doesn’t know that geto is alive. if u remember in s1 geto was consistent on not showing his face for the ppl inside jujutsu high he always tell mahito that he can’t let them see him. when they broke in school and attacked the students and when mahito also attacked junpei, itadori and nanami in school, when gojo and jogo were fighting hanami wanted to help him but he said he can’t help. he always tell them i can’t go with ya’ll but he’s the one behind all these plans.

I think it's an overcorrection against the bad habit of pronouncing げ like ぎ in English. They end up pronouncing it more like げいっと than げとう though, you're right.

Y'all talking about GEH-toe/GEY-toe. I'll never understand why the English dub of JJK pronounced it as GEY-toe lol. It's like when Shyamalan changed the names from "Aang" to "Ong" or "Iroh" to "Ee-roh". Japanese is phonetically consistent (when written out in hiragana/katakana). Geto's name in Japanese is 夏油 which is pronounced as げとう (Getou). The げ is a very distinctive "GEH" sound. It always irked me lol.

So Yuta and Yuji as protagonists goes back to the saying that everyone is the protagonist of their own lives. Yuta’s story is that entire first year which is condensed down to the original one shot manga and this movie. Yuji’s story is the main JJK manga where he is the protagonist. They’re each the protagonist of their own story, but Yuta’s story ended with Rika being freed, Yuji’s story is still being told

Pretty sure it was this along with the other insane animation work demands which led to the issues during s2...and while you can see where the animation suffered due to being rushed, it still looks phenomenal

Apparently the animators had to start working on Chainsaw Man right after they finished the movie. Once that was done they went on to JJK S2. From what I've heard the time they were given for S2 was instead reallocated to CSM, which is why the later episodes of the Shibuya Incident arc weren't even finished until right before their scheduled release (episode 17 wasn't even finished). To say they're burned out is an understatement.

To give you more context on the post credit scene, when Yuta and Gojo were in Kenya, it was around the same time where Yuji and his team fought the Special grade curse in that prison and Yuji “died”. That’s why Gojo was pissed since the higher ups planned the mission when Gojo wasn’t available. Also, it explains why Yuta isn’t available in the 1st season since he’s still in Kenya.

Exactly and now that I finished the reaction the fact that they're so intrigued and want to know more about gojo and geto's past just solidifies my opinion.. like that would have been an intrigue that would have been completely ruined for them if they had watched the movie after season 2's first arc, and that's an awful feeling.

Woohoo! I’ve been waiting on y’all to get this lore. I’m not sure if you caught this but when Gojo is talking to Geto at the end he says something to him and the sound is cut out so we’ll never know what he said. That’s what causes Geto to look so shocked. Then he says you could at least hit me with some curses at the end, implying that Gojo should be upset with him but isn’t. (Also, I’ll never forgive them for not animating Geto’s blush to what Gojo said)

Hello. I love the JJK movie. Personally I think Yuta is better than Yuji. After all, Yuta is my second favorite character after Megumi. I also find it particularly interesting that the film was about Toge, Maki and Panda and not Yuji, Megumi and Nobara. I'm already looking forward to the second season next week. On and on.

I suggest rewatching the movie on your own sometime after you get done with the first 5 episodes of season 2. The added context improves it quite a bit, especially Geto. I believe the movie should really be watched for the first time after episode 5 of season 2 to really appreciate the story fully, regardless if it came out between seasons.
