Btw, if you’re curious about the animation style and how it’s done, there is a 5 Part series on YouTube called Arcane: Bridging the Rift, which was made as a behind the scenes documentary on how they made Arcane, from the writing, the animation, music, etc. Each part is around 30 minutes and it’s awesome. They even go into showing a previously unreleased short they made of Vi and Jayce (with outdated designs) to showcase them testing the art style.

I got to attend a panel at Annecy with some key figures of the animation team (including the studio’s founders) and OH BOY was that cool. They also made it pretty clear that this is the final chapter of *this* story, but not of Fortiche’s partnership with Riot Games and the world Arcane is set in!!

The woman putting on the mask wasn't Mel, it was her mother Ambessa. If you remember, Mel was right in front of where Jinx's missile would've hit the council room. Things aren't looking good for her. Regardless of whether or not Mel is dead, Ambessa wants revenge. Which is bad news for everyone living in Zaun.

About the whole "Final Chapter" thing: this will be the last season titled "Arcane" surrounding Piltover and Zaun. Riot plans on doing more series about different regions and champions from League of Legends. They just won't be titled "Arcane".
