Never really liked them changing the translation for the daggers dubuffs. In the manwha it was Paralysis and Bleed. The difference being that in most games, a damage over time effect is referred to as a "bleed". You get cut, and you slowly lose health. Most games also have "drain" effects, but in every instance of drain that I have seen, the drain TAKES health, or whatever stat, and gives it to the applicator of the debuff. A 1% hp bleed per second - Target loses 1% per second A 1% hp *drain* per second - Target loses 1% per second and the applicator gains what was lost per second. Jin Woo doesnt gain anything from those he dubuffs. Another note, is that daggers are associated with Rogue archetypes, and what are rogues known for? Poisons/Bleeds/Stealth lol

frieren and steven universe would be really great shows that are more silly/soft but still have lots of depth and heart. If you wanted to do your first "sad" anime, orange would be really really cool i especially would love to hear montana's analysis of it

Honestly, the video game component is the thing I dislike the most about the show, I feel like there's a lot here that's good and promising and could be developed very well, but the video game component either needed a lot more work, or just taken out entirely.

Just to give Montana some context in most JRPG’s or RPG’s perception is like insight. So at higher levels instead of just being able to tell that the enemy is strong like JSW does in this episode. He’d be able to know what kind of weaknesses to exploit like the rock boss being weak to fire or lightning or something like that at mid levels for some video games, at high levels it would give you detailed information about enemies like HP, MP, resistances, move sets, etc…but that’s all based on video games I’ve played and not this world specifically, but it’s one example I know of.

It was during the boss fight in this episode that I realized the soundtrack is done by Hiroyuki Sawano, the composer for Attack on Titan S1-S3.

When they talk about prices remember that value is in South Korean Won not USD. The conversion rate is 1USD = 1,380SKW so that 3,000,000 sword is actually $2,200 which is by no means cheap but not unfathomably expensive. Just something worth keeping in mind
