Unrelated to the episode but I’m so excited for you guys to watch frieren. I don’t know if you’ve heard how crazy the ratings are for it, but FMAB was top of the charts for I think over 15 years. Now Frieren not only overtook it, but the difference in ratings between Frieren and FMAB is the same difference as FMAB and the anime in the #30 spot on MyAnimeWatchlist. And I just have to say, Frieren lives up to it

Idk if the second mahito is exactly like the original, yes they are the same, but the one that Nobara is fighting could be slightly different do to the fact that in this episode it's not said he has the same soul or whatever not that they do or don't have the same soul or not but as of this episode he gets hurt and bleeds like someone else would from that attack... Idk I'm sure I'm wrong so but hey it's something to think about. Anyway thought I'd say!

The thing is, Mahito is sort of _everyone_ Everytime you hate another person, everytime, you feel animosity or ill will towards the, you are Mahito. He is just... concentrated. Only the negative parts. Only the hatred, But Mahito was born fromthe hatred humans hold intheri hearts towards others, so yes, part of Yuuji is also Mahito. You can't tell me he was never angry or resentful at a classmate or a teacher. That's just human nature. And the way he hates Mahito now too, even though Mahito is a curse, he _looks_ human, so this hatred, too, counts into it. (Though of course since Yuuji has become a sorcerer now, he shouldn't actually give off cursed energy anymore, which means he has actually stopped feeding into the pool, so to say.)

Believe it or not in Kuatan, Malaysia a monument was built for Nanami after floods of fans across Asia and the world started visiting after this episode. This location was Nanami's dream vacation that he always wanted to go.

My reasoning was that it was meant to show the curses to be more human, since from their perspective they are the “true humans” and believe they have just as much as a right to exist as humans instead of being hunted and killed by sorcerers.

I actually see nanamis last moments differently. That scene was nanami asking himself why he came back to being a sorcerer and then we see haibara point at yuji. And so essentially nanami came back and found a reason in yuji and mentoring him so if he were to tell yuji that he would just make yuji feel responsible, hence "no ill become a curse to him"

I am normally and English dub watcher but the VA for this episode in Japanese and the episodes to come pull off some of the most amazing voice acting I’ve ever heard.

I think it honestly makes them more sinister. This is just a big joke to them, and every time we see what they are doing from their perspective (specifically Mahito), it really emphasizes just how little they care about what they are doing.

i think in season 1 nanami says a lot of sorcerers cover their eyes so that lesser cursed spirits wont know that theyre being watched. nanami and the principle wear sun glasses. gojo has his bandana etc

Call me crazy, but it sounds like they actually got Nicolas Roye to voice "Junpei" again, which makes sense considering he'd still be around after voicing Toji. Absolutely heinous if that's the case. 😂😭

Just a reminder that Yuji doesn't have a technique. Black Flash is a move anyone is capable of doing, while Divergent Fist is a side effect of his previously terrible cursed energy control (his attacks are so fast that his own CE couldn't keep up).
