20% of the entire world’s population is quirkless, currently in real life Japan only makes up 1.52% of the world’s population. So is there a worthy successor out there somewhere that Deku could pass OFA onto, yes, are they in Japan, most likely not, could Deku pass on the quirk before defeating AFO, no because it now takes 8 months of training to safely inherit OFA. The entire purpose of OFA is to defeat AFO, as Deku points out the quirk has grown beyond just that. So they should continue to try and pass it on if possible, but they need to move forward with the belief that Deku will be the last since they can’t even try to pass it on until AFO is defeated

It just doesn’t make sense to me as Yu doesn’t mention anything else about midnight or her grief. For her to have her mask, that mina found, feels random as previously they never had a positive interaction on screen. While Mina, Aizawa and Yamada constantly mention their love for her.

Almight said in season 2 that his quirk also super charges the added quirk using shoto as a example so if a hero wanted to they could temporarily be stronger than Deku but would probably die soon after

Yeah exactly, the current population is 20% quirkless but it's implied multiple times that people dekus age and younger are more like 99% quirkless. The current 80 year olds might be 50/50 but over time it's changing

The students got their moment of showing that when they found her body. Not saying either of these moments are “good” just that they are portraying the story of someone losing a mentor, especially so suddenly and violently. Lady’s just more reserved because she is an adult and she is recovering from her own major injuries.

I think that’s exactly what they were getting at. To Mount Lady, whether she would admit it before now or not, was very obviously influenced by heroes like Midnight. While their powers were vastly different, there are many similarities in how they portray themselves as heroes. Sure, there was a lot of banter between them when Lady was a guest teacher at UA, but this reaction to Midnight’s death really shows how much of an impact she had on Lady and I think brings more depth to Mount Lady’s character.

Personally I agree with both sides but I don't think Mt Lady had a pointy red eye mask so it has to be midnights but also true Mt Lady doesn't have a close relationship with her but she did jokenly say she looks up to midnight and even as a joke looking at her mask now would mean she actually cared for her regardless of their relationship

All good points, but I feel someone 'wanting' help, and someone 'needing' help can be seperate. like with your bakugo reference, he may not have wanted the help, but he needed to be helped. With shigaraki, yes he's done a lot of awful things, but all for one manipulated him at such a young age to become the person he is, I feel shigaraki should at least be given the chance to take responsibility for his actions, and be given a safe environment away from all for ones manipulation before deciding whether or not to hand out the ultimate punishment.

Mt lady was holding her own mask. Her and Midnight weren’t very close if even friends at all. If anyone would have her mask it would be Mina as she found it, or it was given to family/aizawa or yamada

To be honest, I actually _agree_ with the vestiges about Shigaraki. It's kind of the same problem Deku and Bakugo had. Deku said "You looked like you wanted to be rescued" but in that moment, he is imposing _his_ feelings on someone else. I'm not saying Bakugo didn't need to be rescued, but he very clearly _did not ask for it._ Deku imposes his own sense of responsibility on others and with Shigaraki too, I think he is wrong. Shigaraki is _not_ asking for help. He hates having AFO inside him, but he isn't asking for help. What he wants is to win with his own strength. It isn't worth anything if someone else does it for him. As I said, I know Deku means well, but as the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He needs to learn to distinguish between an actual call for help and his own feelings that he is responsible for everything and everyone.

And thus the second DD is upon us. If it didn't show it, I'll say this as well. We are now in the Final Act. And yes, all of Class 1-A now knows Midoriya's quirk. However, even in that scene they plant the seed for something that has been in the works since SEASON ONE. I won't say what that is, but I will say it is revealed early in Season 7.

This is the point in the series where Deku becomes a personal favorite of mine, and Endeavor becomes one of my least favorites. The upcoming arc solidifies a lot of this, and it's also one of the coolest arcs in the series imo
