I think the fight sort of had to happen. It would be weird if not a SINGLE country attempted to help, and the fact that an American would be the one to charge in makes too much sense. It's the birthplace of comic book heroes and we have a tendency to do that irl as well

John/Jane Doe is the name that the US uses when talking about any unspecific man or woman of interest. For example if someone is in a coma at a hospital but never identified they are listed as a “John Doe” as the name while advertising the potential missing person

I wonder if simply calling him Shigaraki would’ve had more of an effect, because he wasn’t sure if he was All for One or Tomura (I know Tenko is also in the mix, but 2/3 might’ve had more of a chance) but both technically go by Shigaraki.

I have seen two different English translations of this, and this one is my favorite. in one translation the final New Order is that New Order will oppose all other quirks. given the visuals and how the image of Star and Stripe acted once stolen, i think the translation of New Order will rage against any other quirk it encounters is much better. I even think the other translation has AFO just yell at Star while this one has him shout that she was cheating which is also excellent.

Not gonna lie I have been rather disappointed with AFOs planning even a rushed plan should have took advantage of the environment like quirks that effect water and if he had to run away go underground or just swim using the super human strength.. Its also kinda sad star is done and dusted after just 2 episodes

Lots of Star Wars references these 2 episodes! Commander Agpar is definitely a nod to Admiral Ackbar and two of Star’s pilots are named Wedge and Biggs, just like two of the pilots who helped luke destroy the Death Star

Cassie's relationship with her Air Force bros is so wholesome. She avoids the pitfalls that too many "strong female characters" fall into where they're strong, but arrogant and don't need help from anyone. Star appreciates and acknowledges her comrads and COULD NOT pull this off without them. Horikoshi's a good writer in that regard.

DEFINITELY an interesting choice to bring a brand new character and Quirk into the mix with Cassie and New Order, only to take both off the table in order to weaken the main boss. Couldn't think of any other way Horikoshi could have written it without ending the series there and then, so I don't really have a problem with it.
