In the sub, she actually seemed to have used a binding vow to make her sword slash more deadly. Trading being able to use a sword ever again.

If yall haven't xauhht the theme song change yet, right after all the hand signs for domain expansions they show an aerial view of shibuya and before the change you could see all the lights but after episode 20, a blackout spreads from shibuya representing when Sukuna and Jogo fought and he wiped out a big area. At the end too, right before the ending shot with yuji standing alone, it used to be of all the sorcerers standing with the shibuya buildings in the background but after episode 20 and all the deaths, the characters are no longer there anymore 😬

That's only if the vessel isn't strong enough to survive eating the finger(s). Since Yuji can survive it, he absorbs that 5% of Sukuna from each finger. Which is why Gojo said Yuji's body would eventually be engraved with Sukuna's technique.

They aren't missing anything because they watch the dub for a reason. Some people have audiovisual processing issues so reading subtitles is actually really detrimental to their enjoyment of the show. Let people watch what allows them to enjoy the media please.

I don't think Yuji's competence is the problem here. Everyone in Shibuya was completely outclassed by the villains. Without Yuta around, their only other S-Grade, the sorcerers had no choice but to give it their best shot, which unfortunately wasn't enough.

what are you talking about? the only times yuji has ever actively made any decision when it came to sukuna is in early season 1. sukuna’s foolishness in shibuya was all because of jogo shoving 10 or so fingers down an unconscious yuji’s throat lmao, how is that yuji being incompetent? overall, there’s a conversation to be had about yuji dying for the greater good of humanity and ending sukuna, but yuji isn’t liable for ANY of sukuna or the other curses’ actions 👍🤨

The thing inside geto has been around longer than Noritoshi Kamo. That guy had stitches on his forehead, which he wouldn't have if it was originally his brain. As he said the Kamo name is simply one of many hes used in the past. Also while nanami and mei mei are foils I like how kusakabe is similar. The entire time kusakabe has been wanting to just leave and was being scared to fight, but when the opportunity arrived he still chose to fight to protect the young students and put himself in front of a special grade sorcerers most powerful technique to block it

Exactly, they basically work the same way as Sukuna (all were turned into cursed objects). Though while the Death Paintings can be consumed by any host, Sukuna needs a vessel strong enough to handle his power.

I think Mahito’s line was just translated weird. The implication is that he knew Geto was planning to absorb him because he could sense it in his human intent. (I’m not even sure if Noritoshi is still just a human cursed user who sticks his brain into other people or if he’s just a straight up curse, but yeah)

A not so fun bit of foreshadowing if you look back at the s1 finale, all of the brothers can feel when another brother is close to death/dying so that means Yuji felt their deaths as he was killing them - That is why he was so emotionally wierd after winning

Mei Mei is a weird character tbh but I saw a really good analysis on why she is important to the story and not just a F R E A K Y anime trope. In short she is almost the exact foul to nanami. Where he had a decision between money and jujutsu he chose what would save people, whereas Mei up and leaves the second her safety is not guaranteed. Where Nanami puts great emphasis on protecting the youth and their innocence, Mei Mei is grooming her younger brother and manipulating him so that he is putting himself in danger for her.

at 11:38 where Mahito tries to attack Kamo Noritoshi and said "I already knew that after all I was born from you humans" he meant that he knew that it was Noritoshis goal was to absorb Mahito from the begining. Mahito says "I knew it all along" in sub which makes more sense

Kamo (the Kyoto student)'s mother was looked down on because she wasn't the head of the clan's wife - she was a concubine. His wife didn't give him any heirs, so Kamo was raised up as a legitimate son. To spite the clan that treated her so poorly, his mother named him after an infamous sorceror from that clan that is widely hated and a stain on their family's legacy: Noritoshi Kamo.

Anyone else notice how the Disaster Curses' deaths are all ironic? Hanami had the highest durability/defense of the group. They were crushed by what was basically a shield. Dagon said that the sea is the source of all life. He was killed by a guy brought back from the dead. Jogo, the fire curse, was incinerated. Mahito, who used the souls of others as tools/weapons, is himself turned into a weapon (and although he saw it coming, he was betrayed just like he betrayed Junpei).

To clarify the student named Nortoshi Kamos mother was looked down upon because she was his fathers mistress. Remember its not just the Zenin clan that are messed up most of the big three clans are. She had nothing to do with kamo/brain not everyone even knows who that is. But she named him that so that when he does good for the world it would like purify the name sorta? Like they want our kamo to be the first person that pops up when you search the name on google.

Shibuya is a district of Tokyo! So in comparison to New York, it would be like Times Square/Manhattan. And it is HIGHLY populated. The Shibuya Scramble Crossing (the crosswalk in the middle of the ward) has approximately 2.4 million people cross each day! (Comparing to Times Square again, approximately 330k people pass through Times Square daily). Another thing about Shibuya is that they are FAMOUS for Halloween events, with tens of thousands of people going to Shibuya to celebrate the holiday. It really is horrific if you think of how many people were there for Halloween + how many people were likely still at work or home.
