Sorry to piggy back as I’m sure you’ve probably already watched the first episode by now; but just to let you know that episode 1-4 of Frieren were all released together as an opener to the show. Just to keep in mind with each weekly episode that the 1st four were released that way :)

I keep asking too, so I'm really hoping. Don't know how aggressive the new company will be about reaction vids on Youtube. But RT used to let the whole unedited vids go up. And even drew attention to the reactors themselves on some of the podcasts. So I think it would be a great choice for the channel.

it's hard to compare them bc they have different focuses and themes. MHA is more lighthearted with deaths that don't feel too violent, the power of friendship, childish fanservice etc JJK is a bit more cynical/negative, etc In both cases the animation elevates the story a good deal I think the cheesiness is a feature not a bug, since hori really leans into it and the whole superhero schmuck makes me feel like a little kid again sometimes

Yea it is stated that any sorcerer depending on the CT could make a shikigamy that works with it for instance yujis shikigamy isn’t her CT but a it is made from it so Yuta is able to make a shikigamy to help or work with his CT and his CT used rika as a base for it so it essentially recreated her to a certain extent just without the actual soul of rika

Btw I don’t think this is a spoiler but if so then let me know and I’ll delete it but I believe rika is now a shikigamy for Yuta Gojo stated that anyone with cursed energy can use barrier techniques like simple domain and use shikigamy under conditions for instance Yuki has a shikigamy based around her CT so Yuta does the same since the best way he knows how to copy is with rika his CT made a weaker rika than the CS one to help Yuta

yeah same kinda... jjk is arguably much better written, and has real stakes unlike mha but i just enjoy mha more.. i find it much easier to follow and rewatch the only thing that could beat mha for me is fmab lol

i know for sure the actual girl is released, either the curse stayed and became a shikigami or he got a copy of her as a shikigami, i dont know if they specified what exactly happened

I believe what happened is Yuta released Rika the girl's soul but kept Rika the curse (like separated the girls soul from the curse he'd made her into and just released that part)

Montana is so right - a lot of things would have to go a very specific way to make Fake Geto's plan go right. If only there were some sort of rules that could be put in place for how people interact going forward :)

Time doesn't pass in the prison realm, which is why "Geto" considered keeping Gojo sealed for the next thousand years. So whenever Gojo is released, his time in the prison realm will only have been brief from his perspective. It'll be rough for him to find out what happened to his students while he was trapped.

Another reminder that Tsumiki isn't related to the Zenin clan or have any powers (at least prior to "Geto" marking her). Her mom married Toji at some point after Megumi's mom died and before Toji left them, which is why she has the Fushiguro name but isn't related to Megumi or Toji (making her Megumi's stepsister).

The way this show has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if yuji WAS able to bust out gojo (and that's a big if for me, again with how this show has gone) ...that it would NOT turn out to be a cake walk after that. Something tells me that prison realm will have taken a toll on gojo (partly bc if I remember correctly, time flows differently in there than outside) I'm definitely HELLA excited to see what s3 brings!!!

Just a reminder that Reverse Cursed Technique can't reverse the effects of Idle Transfiguration. While RCT heals physical damage, it can't do anything against changes made to the soul. Hence why Todo's technique is essentially "dead". Think of it the same way as Overhaul not being able to use his quirk anymore because he lost his hands. It's also why Nobara's odds of surviving aren't great.

without mahitos interference junpei wouldn't be able to use the technique at all no matter how much he trained bc his brain wasn't made for it. He'd be a window at most and wouldn't be able to utilize cursed energy at all

I don't think anything will beat out MHA for me, but that's mostly bias. And it's always important to look beyond our biases so I have no problem admitimg that there's plenty that exceed MHA in plenty of things like plotlines and storytelling even though Horikoshi is a amazing in those aspects, especially character development. I believe Hori and Gege have both spoken favorably about each others work as well. MHA is just extremely special for me

I feel like they discuss this super briefly in season 1. Cursed users from the past, specifically the Heian era that Sukuna is from, that “Geto” wants to bring back tend to be more violent. There was a lot more challenging each other and fighting for sport than the present day. That’s why Yuki gets concerned when she realizes that. Normal people with awakened techniques might not just start fighting each other but awakened sorcerers from the past would.

No Kenny mahito didn't give junpei a cursed technique what he was saying is that there's people who are born with a cursed technique but they don't know about cursed energy or jujutsu like junpei so he gave them knowledge about sorcerer's and cursed energy so that they can learn to use it you can't give a cursed technique or learn a cursed technique a cursed technique is something your born with you either have it or you don't
