I always thought of Gentle and La Brava as the most underwhelming and boring parts of MHA, because they felt like filler villains. But after seeing how they aid in the final battle, I greatly appreciated them. I did not expect them AT ALL and then they made me tear up.

Kurogiri's quirk is as powerful as the power balance between each side. At the beginning of the series Kurogiri had the exact same quirk but there was nothing the villains could bring that would match All Might. No matter what they put together if All Might was there they still lose. Now the warp matters because the power balance is deeply in their favor. Even with Deku using 100% the villains are far stronger than they were in the beginning.

I actually love when people's quirk are kinda unrelated to their power so to speak. like la bravas hacking has nothing to do with her quirk and mei's zoom has nothing to do with her brilliant mind. There’s something so perfect about Gentle’s backstory. His final mistake that sent him over the edge was trying to catch someone falling and failing, and now here he is, catching the coffin from falling and succeeding. “Though I failed, my intentions were noble and pure” like come on 😭

This episode is so beautiful! I love Gentle, La Brava, and Nagant’s return SO MUCH! I knew Nagant was too cool of a character, there was no way she wasn’t coming back sometime. But I truly didn’t think we would ever see Gentle and La Brava again. They became some of my favorite characters after this one! 🥹 *tears* Can’t believe we are getting so close to the end of the season….

Man, the shot of Gentle and Deku with tears in their eyes gets me every time. Definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season. Just feels so meaningful to have Gentle, the first villain Deku reached out to, come back and save them as Deku's about to begin battling the actual Shigaraki persona, another villain that Deku wants to save.

Although I do really love the beautiful singing that girl that made it here in the USA did for it but I think it wouldn't have worked properly with this scene so this version is much better. I think all around they did a much better job of picking the OSTs for this season and the moments that go with them. In season 5 and 6 the OST choices for the moments weren't all that great especially when Yuki Hayashi literally makes each OST for a specific moment in this season and for specific characters.

This to me at least, is the 2nd of 5 emotional episode heavyweights. It featured not one, not two, but three former villains that Izuku inspired to be redeemed. Gentle in particular gets his ultimate redemption here. Take note in how he used his quirk in the flashback vs him using it on the Coffin. Between that and how he handled those prisoners, my man could have been a Top 10 hero in another alternate universe. First time watching this I wept at this episode with how great they handled all three former villains. And FYI the shot Nagant took on Shigaraki's hand was from 200 Kilometers away, injured, in the rain and wind. Nagant needs to turn off the aimbot to be fair to the rest of us. 😁

Probably my favorite thing about Gentle's heroic moment here is that this is him learning from his past mistake. When he first tried to save someone, he made an air cushion without having any control of where the person fell. This time, he put up the cushion AFTER first launching himself towards the Coffin, giving himself control.

There is actually a total of 4 personalities within shigiraki. Himself. Shigiraki, Tenko shimura, AFO, and then the combined AFshig(think of this as the combined hatred stored withen the quirk all for one itself. That blow was essentially enough for regular shigiraki to take the reigns

Now that I think about it, it’s a good thing nagant can even use her quirk . Deku singled out her barrel to incapacitate her, which is understandable but he full force kicked that thing with pseudo 100% and shattered it lmao. I could see it being like a bone that’s just shattered to the point that reconstruction is impossible
