One thing I want to correct (just to give him his proper credit) is that Inasa's quirk isn't as simple as cyclones or tornados, it's wind manipulation where he can control every current deliberately. In the provisional hero license exam I think he blasted the balls at people without much control over the wind since it was obvious he'd pass just from the sheer volume of people, but in the second round he was carefully adjusting each individual current to move various people and debris simultaneously. He's able to focus on countless fine details while wielding massive power. I just wanted to throw that out there because I find him to have some of the most control over his power in the whole show, despite how not much attention is drawn to it.

For Toga, this is an attack on her core character and what she believes about her quirk. She wants to become the people that she loves and she believes that her quirk allows her to do that. Toga and Tsu are coming to this understanding about her quirk at the same time. The restriction means that she can use Twice's quirk, but she cannot literally become Jin. That's what she believed was happening and it's not. She isn't who she thought she was and that reality is smacking her in the face in the middle of this battle.

okay so as someone who recently had a revelation to having multiple personalities all along (just 1 other but still) I am now noticing other layers to storylines that have DID/OSDD allegorical implications All for One and One For All are basically this Once the vasitiges awoke they started working with Deku as co-consious personalities working with him mush like me and my other personality...... Meanwhile All For One is all about trying to take over the host body and stamp out any semblence of the original personality or have it be fused into his being and be washed away by his stronger presence.... I am so glad to be rewatching this with you to notice these things.....

Baldur is not related to Baldur's gate as Baldur's gate is named after the hero Balderan who founded the city. Shining Baldur (also spelled balder or baldr) is the Norse god associated with radiance. He embodies all meanings of the word meaning light, joy, and purity. He represented the possibility of resolving conflict without violence so he couldn't be harmed intentionally. Loki tricked another god into killing him unknowingly which often marks the start of Ragnarok. The direct translation from the Japanese for the move is Komyo Barudoru. Barudoru is the the romanji for baldur but Komyo is a little more ambiguous and can mean lightning, hope, or glory. I think the English for the move is based off the common translation which is lightning but the move could mean hope of baldur which might make more sense given the context. It could also be that it's supposed to be ironic because Baldur's whole thing is light and not fighting which is the exact opposite of what is essentially a shadow punch. I'm of the personal opinion that tokoyami just thought it sounded cool though

So what All for One is saying is that he's going to forcibly transfer his copy of the AfO quirk to Shigaraki. This would overpower Shigaraki's half of the vestige, allowing for AfO to take complete control.

Shigaraki is basically saying he wants the society that was built up to crumble. Just like he has always wanted. The hero society led up to the house that he grew up in and just like the house he wants to decay everything else that built up to that point.

You're wrong. First, Shigaraki does have complete control of decay now and can only destroy what he wants. That was his awakening back in Season 5. An example of that is in Season 6, he caused that massive decay, but left all the high end nomu around him completely untouched. It worked completely. He says that directly in one episode, though the manga makes it even more clear. Second, it's not literal. He wants to destroy anything connected with his unhappy childhood. That includes Japan's messed up legal system and the entire hero society, since it led to his abuse at the hands of his father and no one saving him. Why would he want to decay the entire world when its obvious he cares deeply about his friends in the League of villains.

This is a very small little detail, but Mirio holding Bakugo’s lifeless body at the beginning of the episode is so wholesome. I assume he is preparing to protect him from all the Twice doubles if it came to that 🥺🥺 Mirio is the best boy for real. 💛

Correction, it’s the other way around. Shigaraki has the original AfO quirk, AfO uses the copy.

When AFO says he's going to give Shigaraki the quirk factor he no longer needs, he means the TRUE All for One quirk. What Shigaraki has is a copy made by Garaki. All for One still has the original quirk and his consciousness is stronger in that quirk factor than in the copied version. And he no longer needs it because he is perpetually rewinding into nothingness and will die regardless.

That's a little harsh for "not hating." I guess I more meant I like Muzan more than All For One as a villain. While AFO does impact the story and characters more, he does so in ways that tend to complicate said story. Meanwhile, Muzan is just a good old, simple, pure evil villains, who's motivation is honestly better and more understandable that AFO's, I'd day.

I hadn’t considered that. AFO hasn’t had many encounters with the newest generations. All his quirks are much older and so relies on combining them to make them powerful and scary. But the new generation of quirks are far more terrifying by themselves. Even quirks you don’t consider like Jiiro earphone jack was able to at least match AFO. AFO being a boomer unwilling to consider that the world he ruled just moved on. “I was the best back then, and that should still count” is hilarious 😂

I love that moment for him! We have known for a long time how strong Tokoyami and Dark Shadow are, it’s so amazing to see them be able to go full power on the battle field! Dark Shadow is one of my favorite quirks in all of MHA! It’s right up there with Amajiki’s Manifest

I think of AFOs talking about control like the stocks of a company. Every quirk has some personality attached to it. AFO BELIEVED that the amount he has invested in Shigaraki would give him more than a 50% share and therefore he would make decisions. However, the rage and hate of Shigaraki was underestimated, leaving AFO at the meeting but with 45%. So he doesn’t have any real say. He wants to get to Shigaraki, to pump more quirks in with his personality embedded (buying more stock in Shigaraki) to tip the scales towards AFOs complete control of the body.

Fun fact: in the manga, there was a gag where they had translation notes when Camie spoke in slang, and the notes progressively got more confused to the point that even they weren't completely sure what she meant.

I think Shigaraki saying “everything touching that house” is actually literal. Think of his quirk. It doesn’t differentiate between things he wants to destroy and not. It simply spreads. He has attempted to protect things inside of decay and it hasn’t worked completely (Eri bullets and Near High End Nomu) The way I imagine his win condition is going to his childhood backyard and put his hand down and just start decaying. The circle of decay would just grow outward in a wave, if left unchecked destroying the whole country, if not more. I’d rather be alive in the cyberpunk world than dead in a dust desert. So I’ll take AFO over Shigaraki if I had to pick one.

I never thought about this but the quirks that AFO have stolen are probably pretty weak. They were all stolen from younger generations and couldn't go out to steal any more quirks after the fight with all might. They're stronger because he combines multiple quirks at once.

Couple things: When shigaraki says "destroy everything connected to that house" you forget he just earlier said "EVERY aspect of this world is to blame for what happened in that house" so he's basically saying he wants to destroy all of the current society As for A4O... i belive the "quirk factor" he's referring to is HIS quirk, which his CURRENT body doesn't need any more because it's about to be rewound out of existence. (And by combining his two halves in shigaraki, he'll then have the control he wants)
