It also wouldn't make much sense to him to train I guess. Like right now he doesn't have the time but even before he probably didn't have the time to train every single quirk. It's like when you train in 100 different instruments or one instrument continuesly. Violin or accordion takes a bit before you can even play anything remotely useful compared to piano where pressing a button makes the right sound. Why invest time in a quirk where youd have to invest months before you can even use it properly vs a quirk that just needs to be activated to do its thing. That's why I think Monoma is such a cool hero bc he really works with the quirks he gets and given his future ranking he does it really well

Random realization and watching y'all's YouTube vides the fourth movie, seems like it kinda takes place season 7 episode 4 because of what Mt Lady suggests three people to make a team to go out and do hero work together. Makes more sense if you've watched the movie but trying not to spoil anything but mainly let y'all know if you do watch the fourth movie!!!

AFO calling Hawk's quirk basically worthless is another example, along with him not taking Best Jeanist's quirk, of him not seeing the worth in quirks you have to put effort and thought into to get the best out of them. Most of the offensive quirks AFO uses are basic and easily understandable like lasers and muscle enhancers. It could be a short sightedness in AFO or it could be that someone that can have any quirk he wants has never had to work to improve their single quirk and therefore doesn't see the full potential of quirks that aren't obviously offensive or tactical.

Yes, you are completely right! I have actually never had a bad interaction with any MHA fans or shippers. From my experience they have all been lovely! 🥰 I know they get a bad rep, but I totally get that is just a loud minority, and not the majority. I just had a bad experience with shippers when I was little pre-teen Kiri who just discovered internet fandoms 💀 So that’s why I don’t usually consider myself a “shipper” per se, but you are right, it’s probably time to let that go 🤣

It was also light in the manga, just less people came at it so hard when that came out. People were seeing her not having darker skin as "removing representation" because they assumed she was black in their head canon which really didn't make sense considering she is a japanese high schooler with a fully native japanese name. Also people are treating it like they "white washed" her when she is in fact again japanese. So you know just people getting upset about problems they manufactured entirely in their own head.

Mina proves with this episode she's a badass. Fun fact, there were several people that absolutely HATED the skin tone that she had once she got dehydrated because they assumed she was darker skinned. I'm assuming it's because of the scenes looked in the manga but I'm not sure. In any event, a fair warning, the next three episodes are the 3rd, 4th, and 5th emotional heavyweights I mentioned. And I highly, HIGHLY recommend some tissues for them.

The best part about the movie characters showing up is that they were actually in the manga too (with the exception of the movie 4 characters since it hadn't come out yet). Sometimes, the anime adaption of a series will add in movie or filler characters to main series scenes, but I appreciated that in MHA, Horikoshi himself decided to make it clear that those movies did happen even in the manga canon.

I like the discussion and point about how AFO has been a problem for those with extreme levels of passion before he ever carried any of his own. It’s an interesting topic, and it makes you wonder who (if anyone) has passion that could rival AFO’s while also being strong enough to endure his broken levels of power. A passionate AFO certainly makes the outcome look bleak, and I think would dampen everyone’s hopes that they’ve been hanging onto.

Hawks feathers arent like endevors flames? Theyre a physical thing thats a part of him like a limb. You might be confused that comment about endevors flames was him saying he cant take endevors quirk by touching his fire nor can he take tokoyamis quirk by touching dark shadow because they arent physical things you can touch. He can only take someone quirk if he can physically touch them. And minas skin sint a part of her quirk the color of it is so if he took her quirk her skin color would change to normal.

Another thing, you aren't excited for episode 19...but also AFO unfortunately only took fierce wings to incapacitate hawks, hence calling it a garbage power (that did a great deal of damage to him but okayyy) and not even using it to fly away since he already has a flight quirk, it was sooo disrespectful lmao. I believe the reason AFO isn’t losing quirks is because when he takes a quirk he doesn’t have multiple quirks in his body they merge with AFO to where it’s a quirk with 1000 other abilities so the reason he isn’t losing any is because they are the quirk AFO so they can only be gone once the quirk AFO is gone

I think my favorite part of Mineta's moment this episode is how he worded his plea to AFO. He didn't say, "Don't take away Tokoyami's Quirk." He said, "Don't separate Tokoyami and Dark Shadow." Dark Shadow has always had his own autonomy, and I love that Tokoyami's friends get that.

I agree with what Kenny said, I think older AFO wasn’t really that resentful and took pleasure in planning, more of a game with the ultimate stakes Now at his younger years his rediscovering that emotion that he got rid of over his super long life. Also it’s not really pointed out that much but AFO and dabi are similar, they are both actively killing themselves, even though he said if he complete shiggy it’s fine, which I do believe he meant, I don’t think he thought it would take this long. He kinda thinking if he doesn’t complete the overtaking of shiggy body, sure he will live on as a vestige in AFO, but as a man of deep calculating plans, it probabaly wouldn’t feel good to unleash literally the most unstable and irrational person onto the world with his power

I feel like amongst all the villains, Toga deserves to be saved the most. I feel like not only is she a child, but she for sure has been manipulated because of the people around her. The others have too but at some point, they are still grown adults and are actively seeking evil. Toga is trying to understand herself and with the way her quirk works and you cant fully blame her while still being a child. She should def take responsibility for the things she has done, but she for sure deserves redemption

I think 7x18 and 7x19 don't really need to be a double drop, there are other episodes where it would make more sense and the time between Christmas and new year is usually so busy anyway
