I disagree cause MHA is also just as long HxH which makes it a perfect replacement. The manga has more but the anime end in a very good place that doesn’t feel incomplete. Also the dialogue scenes are what will make them love the show more in my opinion cause if ur saying the dialogue is too much in HxH then they might not enjoy season 2 of Vinland saga.

just my thoughts, happy to support either way: HxH is long and unfinished. in my opinion, i don’t think it’s good for full blown reacting with all the recaps, slow eps, extended dialogue scenes (thinking of talks about the magic system & whatnot). imo it’s really good for the style you see some reactors do with longer series where they release multiple episodes per drop, significantly cut down. but i have a feeling the editing workload from that is ridiculous. regardless, specifically in terms of replacing the ongoing MHA, a shorter and more concise show might be better if you intend to switch back to MHA when season 8 comes out. it’ll be easier to switch back & forth when you don’t have to remember seasons worth of information for each. Mob Psycho’s arcs are pretty contained! sorry for the unsolicited advice lol

They did Cyberpunk and Invincible too, and they mentioned they'll do Over the Garden Wall while waiting for Invincible season 3 and they mentioned Vox Machina a few times too as a potential. So X-Men is a possibility, but it competes with different shows.

Vinland is a very unique type of anime, in that most of the characters don’t feel like they’re from an anime lol. Ofc pitting it against the likes of HxH (a show that as far as I’m aware never loses polls) doesn’t really communicate how much of a masterpiece it is nor does this comment obviously, but hopefully it can reappear again

One anime set to come out in 2025 is The Beginning After The End which is like, and I say this lightly, somewhat like Mushoki Tensei. Reincarnation and story starts as a kid and kid gets separated from family, but with a more avatar-like approach with the magic and the mc was previously a King and not a random modern-day person. I would LOVE to see them react once its out because the manhwa is so good

On a sidenote, Orb: On the movements of the Earth is also a science anime, and it's one of the best anime I've ever seen, hells, one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. I hope it'll get an English dub soon, it's hella underrated. To me it's on par with Season 1-3 of Game of Thrones in terms of quality.
