No actually a wyvern is a MALE and they are smaller but a dragon is female and they are larger. Typically speaking their genus is that they are Drake OR draconic. Fun fact so are vampires.

Watching these with you in dub is interesting, as I watch in sub and dub uses different key words in some points, but Esil says it herself, Baran isnt just a boss, he is a "sovereign" (Monarch). This is a very plot relevant word. Watching in sub is also interesting because apparently half my questions I have asked pertain to sub dialogue, or the answer to my questions are in the dub LOL And as someone else stated, Baran's full title wasnt "Demon Monarch", it was "Monarch of White Flames, The Demon King, Baran" as Jinwoo is currently "Shadow Monarch, Hunter Sung Jinwoo". I just love the titles in this story, they all have their own aura

Not sure if someone else made this note, but with the new jeju island raid, i think that they can collect all the s ranks they want, but without jinwoo...they're stil fucked since the s ranks couldn't clear the island on multiple other attempts. And the ants have literally been getting stronger to where this basic flying one is equivalent to A. How insanely stronger are the big ass white ones? The queen???

How anime handles language barriers is always really funny to me. The Death Note dub is infinitely better than the sub for the simple reason that it doesn't have literally every single person in the entire world casually speaking Japanese- it's a little weird that it's english from everyone... but english is also a very common language

You guys are watching a dub. When one voice happens to sound like another character it doesn't mean there is some automatic connection between characters because of a decision the dubs make. You can't actually use the dubs voices as a line of questioning actual things in an anime itself lol. Jinwoo did not know Esil so I'm not sure why you both came to the conclusion that he automatically knew her....

As far as the language barrier in sub, everyone spoke Japanese and there was just an “assumption” that nobody could actually understand each other 😂 I like the way the dub did that scene even if it’s something minor and insignificant

Yay another reaction, btw Jin-woo didn't recognize the demon girl, in the subbed and manga, he is shocked to hear the voice of a girl/able to talk monster. also the demons aren't uniting, they had to unite and already done so against against someone, they presumably lost and were brought to the tower.

Last thought... What if there are multiple opposing systems and what we perceive as a "system" is a god type figure readying a champion to go against the champion of other godlike beings. This only comes to mind because of the first dungeon we saw and how it revolves around gods and worship. It could also be an explanation as to why there is such a structure to how jin-woo is being built up instead of just re-awakened with immense power from the start. There may be rules on how a champion is created. That they have to essentially be built from scratch. Jin-woo being so weak that he was basically a regular human was the ideal base to start from. I'm pulling all of this completely out of the air.

The fight with Baran was AWESOME, with probably the best animation we've seen thus far. However, if I could change anything about it, I wish Baran had talked. Both Baruka and Kargalgan had distinct voices which gave their characters and fights personality, and I wish we'd gotten more of that here. Imagine how SICK it would've been if Baran had proclaimed "ARISE" when he summoned his forces against another Monarch.

Discussion makes me think that monarchs are people that can turn others into monsters. Like the demon monarch made all the demon monsters like jinwoo made the shadow soldiers out of other monsters, humans, etc. Maybe players are just monster making machines and demons couldn't be harvested bc they already were made into "soldiers".

In that sense, I think it's doing the same with jin-woo and using him as an "existing asset". But instead he's being built up. The only question is why? Also since the system is so incredibly powerful, why would it need to operate in this manner. It seems the system has rules it has to follow too.

For all we know her childhood friend could be dead idk. With the ability the system has to reprogram powerful demons, I doubt it's building up jin-woo just to destroy them. It could simply reprogram them to destroy themselves. I think the system is simply using them as a resource rather than building from scratch. Programmers use existing assets all the time when it comes to game and program creation.

Cause he just ignores people most of the time. Or intimidates/threatens them. Even if he was polite there has always been a cold indifference. He didn't ask the guild leader who has been thrown around by the orcs "how are you". Even when the rest of them were hit by song of blindness and screaming in agony, he was busy just farming his shadows, he forgot about all of them

Personally, I think after the spider dungeon, kang, and iron, jinwoo has come to terms with the ending of sentient life. Best example is iron, jinwoo put himself and iron in the situation of perfect deniability and covered his tracks of arise with snow cover, he needed someone heavy and big to take hits during this fight and had the perfect tool run right towards him.
