Subtle vague spoilers ahead**** ********** The intention of making that promose was to purposefully cause Killua intense pain when he inevitably betrayed his friends because of the needle. I didn't say they where good fathers, I said they the best fathers we have seen in the series so far. The only father we have seen that may be better than them is the guide in like episode 3.

I mean physical presence doesn't mean they're good fathers who deserve slack, and the ending literally shows Silva had nefarious motives when having his first father son chat. Then there's the fact they're having their first father son chat at the age of 11 proving he isn't even actually present in Kils life as a father

Killua is a freak tho yall only viewing him like u do because he’s a child and main character but u realize he killed 2 hunter applicants just because he was upset. U do realize he has a cold demeanor to almost everyone besides gon and thats only because he’s curious. And did u forget at the end of the hunter exam he was upset/confused that Gon had more tries than him because he felt like he’s stronger

So! Zeno is Silva's father. Silva married Kikyo and they had: Illumi, Milluki, Killua, and Kalluto, all boys. This is my favorite episode from this mini arc, can't wait for the rest!

This! Basically, everything is circles around Killua. Illumi 100% loves Killua, Kikyo, Zeno and Silva do as well. It's just twisted. Illumi was basically the prototype, he is who he is because that's what he was made into and then he was put in charge of Killua, Illumi has no regards for himself and only thinks of Killua and what Silva and Zeno want for Killua, even if it's clear Zeno doesn't like Illumi at all (theory says it's because Kikyo is Meteor City born and the rest of the children all look too much like their mother, especially Illumi, which is why Zeno dislikes them). There is definitely love in that family, it's just been bent and twisted beyond recognition. Tbf, I just suspend my real world beliefs and it's 100% plausible, The Addams but even more twisted lol!

If you noticed, Killua so far hasn’t shown any respect to anyone but his Father and Grandfather. Interestingly enough, I would honestly say that he probably has a relatively good relationship with his father at least in this type of Family dynamic. It’s the reason why I think he’ll keep the promise.

Probably not technically, but also retroactively he is likely referring to *that*. It's clear Silva knows about it later on, but (assuming it is unchanged from the manga) it's unlikely Togashi actually had the idea when we was writing this scene since unless I'm mistaken this story was written adventure by adventure rather than with a comprehensive plot in mind. But still, it's vague enough that we can just retroactively assume *that* is at least partially on his mind.

From the name alone "meteor city" it can be assumed it was hit by a meteor and was "forgotten" after everyone died. Then people started dumping trash and bad people came along to claim the ruins. This is not a spoiler they legit never clarify much beyond that there is trash and bad people. Well maybe in the manga it says but I did not read it.

Maybe you haven't noticed it but the family is clearly divided by their hair color. All the leaders of the family (The line of the father) have white hair and all the children that have their mothers hair aren't considered that favorable. Clearly they don't treat each other better or worse due to the color but I think it still has some meaning because killua is the only kid with hair from the male line so white hair and he is clearly the favorite.
