And here we go again with Gon. His 'morality' is entirely centered on the here and now. Bisky told him this man is a murderer and Gon doesn't know any of his backstory that would elicit empathy. Yet, to him, he doesn#t hold any ill feelings or disgust towards Benolt, because all he is to Gon is someone who helped him get stronger. It#s a very unique way to see the world, Zepile had commented on it too, the fact that Gon didn't care about the fact that he did something illegal or even bad, because he taught him knew things. Gon's morality is entirely black and white, to him, he eitehr likes someone or he doesn't and his reasons can be entirely contradictory sometimes. But unlike Killua, he is extremly infelxible. Like, you could probably not ever convice him to hate Binolt at this point.

I think it was more gon being so unbelievably kind and sympathetic despite the fact that he was trying to murder them.

I forgot about Benolts backstory. What a great reoccurring theme of hunter x hunter being about classism and people forced into bad roles because of the situation they grew up in.

I mean for myself if I set my mind on something I'll do my best to do what I can to do what I want to do and that could also be something Gon is like and ging since he's so much like him, as I stated in the other comment I said, but killua also helps Gon be realistic while also being himself

Gons just focused on being himself and playing the game and staying alive. He's seeking his dad but also focusing on the moment and being in the moment but being a kid. A lot like his dad ging even aunt meto said that the first episode.
