so they actually changed the dragger for the anime. in the manga she was the kuchisake-onna, or slit-mouthed woman, who is an actual japanese urban legend. she's the spirit of a woman whose husband mutilated her by slitting her mouth from ear to ear. she carries a pair of scissors around and asks potential victims if they think she is beautiful; if they say no, she kills them, and if they say yes, she slits their mouth. the way to survive is by saying that she looks average
