That's not true in the slightest considered he's taken sooo many more quirks since their fight back in the day AND he's in peak condition. Being duplicated did weaken them because of their vestiges but that barely does a dent in his power, they were equal back in the day but even injured all might barely put a scratch if not for the "quirks" of other people and not his own. AFO going so ham in the fight just goes to show how strong all might was to best him in the day but now with the help of Endeavor and dozens of other well qualified heroes, it took basically 4 nukes to actually kill him? He was a MAJOR problem, even more so than shiggy imo

Important reminder..even though all for one is still ridiculously strong, he's much weaker than when he fought all might back in the day... Mainly because he's using a duplicate quirk, he passed on the original quirk to shiggy and the duplicate quirks are not as a strong as the original.

Might be my favorite episode of MHA ever (Definitely top 3). It had everything I want in terms of animation, emotion, and character development. Bakugo smiling after being acknowledged by All Might and calling himself Kacchan was absolutely perfect.

In a sense, Bakugo has a connection to One For All, but that's only just that. His quirk is not empowered by One For All at all. The whole point is that Bakugo got this strong on his own

Not trying to come off as rude when saying that but its the near death quirk awakening that is making him so great. It would be kind of a cop out and pointless to bring up the movie as a way to get Bakugo to have a power up. The movie wasn't in the manga. It wouldn't make any sense to reference the movie in the manga because it didn't happen in the manga to begin with.

Dude I get your hyped in this reaction but you need to lay down the one for all in Bakugo theory. It has nothing to do with this lol. It was a movie that the creator had because it was his original ending for the series. They made Bakugo forget that he got one for all at the end of that movie because they weren't gonna bring it back up in the series itself.

This season so far has been straight peak, but this episode is probably the single best episode of any anime I have ever seen. That goes for both sub and dub. And, honestly, the dub actors KILLED IT this episode, especially Kacchan and Young All for One. One minor thing I wish was different: I do still wish we had gotten to hear Old All for One's VA here, though, even if it was just his internal monologue. I would've loved to hear him voicing YAfO's thoughts as this episode played out. We got that with Toya Todoroki when he woke up in that "day care" in the flashback a few seasons ago, so I wish they would've done that here, too.

It's not just the animation that was on point this episode. The music was also GORGEOUS! The slow methodical build-up as we saw everyone around the world watching this conflict (those beautiful strings honestly reminded me of Attack on Titan), only for it to EXPLODE as Deku and Bakugo worked to save All Might sounded PHENOMENAL. And the "GO BEYOND" scene in the second half and Bakugo's Quirk evolving both looks and sounds incredible. Just . . . hats off to both the Bones animators and Yuki Hayashi for DELIVERING on adapting this episode. 🤩

"CAUSE MY NAME IS KACCHAN BAKUGO!!" That might be one of the best episode endings of any anime, and I would L.O.V.E. if Bakugo indeed changed his Hero name to this. Confession time: I've always disliked Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight. They bring Best Jeanist back in season six and have Bakugo finally express his wish as a Hero to the one person he wanted to share it with, and they make it a joke?? Are you kidding me? But Kacchan? That would be perfect in SO many ways; the ULTIMATE act of growth and redemption for Bakugo's character.

Nah, this still takes it. Not only is Bakugo's reintroduction literally perfect, but there's some moments of iffy animation next episode. Not here, tho. This is one of the best looking episodes of the show by FAR. The animation's up there with Shoto Todoroki: Origin, Infinite 100%, and His Start, imo.

Kenny i love the bakugo hype but all might literary punched of afo’s head and left him on deaths door to the point where he could not live without tubes and machines(his own words) this is the reason he sought out shigaraki and the whole story kinds starts. But yes bakugo is whooping his butt no doubt😂one of my fave mha episodes of all time!!!

My favorite episode has been 3x23, Deku vs. Kacchan part 2, without changing this whole time, but this one dethroned it immediately. It’s perfect! There were no flaws in it at all! 😭 The voice acting! (Clifford Chapin killed it!) The gorgeous animation! The call backs and the full circle moments! I’m a puddle 😭😭 I love that Bakugo is the one who saves All Might and at the moment is keeping AFO on the ropes. It’s the perfect character arc for him. 🥹 I remember when I learned that the ending of the second movie was originally supposed to be the ending of the manga and I thought that Horikoshi would never be able to top it, but here we are! He proved me wrong again, because I am loving how this story is wrapping up so far. Also, I love seeing how excited you both are each week for these episodes! Can’t wait for the next one! 🥹 (and I am dying at you asking the worm question 🤣 I too love worm Edgeshot, the worm the world needed. ❤️🪱)

Fun fact, that 4 panel of shiggy AFO Deku and Bakugo was drawn nearly 3 years after the 3 panel of Yuji Todo and Mahito. Gege and Horikoshi are good friends IRL, so it’s very likely that Horikoshi was tipping hit hat to Gege when he drew that 😊.

It's not that Bakugo is out powering afo, it's that afo is ignoring him 😭. Bakugo is very annoying, but not dangerous, like dark shadow would be, so afo just decided to not bother. Notice he hasn't rewound from those two attacks? They aren't a threat, but they are a time waster.
