In the manga, Thorfinn is so short that the author likes to draw him barely making it out of the panel. I'm so glad the anime does the same when he's barely peaking over the screen 🥹

Now you are starting to see why farmland is such a peak arc. It is a beautiful and tender exploration of the human experience, and we get to watch Thorfinn develop a philosophy that he was deprived of having because of his childhood. It only gets better from here, and yes Montana this show will probably wreck you the way it did all of us lmao.

So glad you guys are enjoying this season so much. I agree that these quiet episodes showcasing Thornfinns growth are some of the best but it just keeps getting better. I know we were spoiled with double drops in S1, but i highly recommend eps 8 & 9 -- they are truly incredible and fit together so well. Barring that eps 22 & 23 are also peak. lastly as others have said, the king who died in S1 was king Sweyn. While he was campaigning in England, his oldest son Harald (canutes brother) was ruling Denmark. Ketils farm is in Denmark, so their king is King Harald. Canute is the king of England
