May well be kalluto (who i didn't realize was a boy this whole time lmao) was either recommended, or showed up and they thought "a zoldyck? Could have some potential" or something along those lines

I thought the same for a while, but there’s a reason he speaks like that which makes up for it. He speaks broken English (or Japanese in the sub) because his native language is Chinese. That’s why he was speaking with subtitles in the dub.

There’s a popular theory that Kalluto is actually looking to bring Feitan back and that Feitan is actually a Zoldyck that left the family or was taken from a young age. What are your thoughts on this widely agreed upon theory

Feitan is supposed to be the HxH equivalent of Chinese, he speaks in kind of a broken version of their language in the manga and in the 1999 adaptation but it's toned down in this adaptation.
