I SAW SOMETHING YOU GUYS SHOULD KNOW!! so when yuji and yuta were in the room, and then after megumi came up, choso appeared and scared megumi. The thing is yuta didnt know choso was there either, he was waiting to attack yuta but stopped and made himself known when he saw they were all friends. So Choso was alerted then!

Whilst I'm tempted to genuinely theorize about this, I genuinely feel like he was concussed from the mental flashbang that is Naoya's rancid vibes (plus getting the breaks beaten off of him at mach 6 speeds)

I think John Thule is correct below. Also keep in mind though, Choso was getting the crap beat out of him with Nayoa, so this may have effected his connection..? Not sure if it would work that way or not. The first time Yuji almost died battling Choso, Choso never was preoccupied as much as this recent battle. This may explain why he was able to focus on the connection then.

Yuji technically didn’t die. Jujutsu sorcerer entails metaphysical abilities, and as we already know a sorcerer who is killed can reincarnate as a curse (if slain without the use of cursed energy). Yuji’s heart may have been stopped by Yuta (so as to not violate his vow to the Jujutsu society) but the fact of Yujis death was not established in reality, and his soul never vacated his vessel. Thus, he wasn’t truly killed.

Yeah I think it's this bit, frankly. I think it was so quick he may have felt a blip but since Yuji's heart had been healed and was pumping blood it most likely went ignored.

My guess is that the cursed womb death paintings only have that sense for each other, even though Yuji and him are still brothers

It could be because he was both far away in the middle of a intense fight that needed his full focus or that Yuta brought him back so quickly choso didn’t have time to notice

It was just so short of a death that it didnt even pick up. Choso senses it shortly after generally, just like the fight in shibuya. Love your content, have a wonderful time watching JJK!

It was that brief even Choso couldn’t sense it even in the manga he shows no reaction to it. It’s him getting blitzed by Naoya that makes it look like he got distracted by Yujis death but it wasn’t that at all Just shows yuta was just that quick with it that even chosos sensory mutation didn’t work
