There’s another type of guy called “THAT GUY?” and it’s the career .127 hitter who hits like .700 against your favorite team. For Mariners fans it’s basically any bad player but any A’s second baseman applies (Mark Ellis, Eric Sogard) and then guys like Luis Rengifo.
Jeff Riley
Appreciate greg identifying all the initialisms of baseball, as a noob. Would be cool to know which stats are worth paying attention to for which positions. Feels boring as I'm typing it out but I trust Hayes to have something devious up his sleeve.

This guy Mike Najjar makes a great point
Erick Smitherman
Jeter refused to DH in the 09 WBC leading to the whole stadium chanting Jeter sucks.
Dan Donnelly
“Down goes Anderson” is an all time call
Eliana

As a dodger hater (Mets fan), I wanna take shots with kiké and and Carl, and I’m sober
Mike Najjar
I just wanna say that the fact that the hayesman is an ohtani gambling truther was literally the first thing I excitedly texted my friends about so critical support for that
Eliana
hayesman absolutely nailed the description of ohtani's face
Sammyfein
Carl’s Harold Reynolds has me wheezing

Fan Favorite Utility Player: Marco Scutaro (I know I saw some fellow erstwhile A's fans out here)
Joe
Not that you need it, but please consider this your permission from the legal world to never, ever read the court filings if your goal is to find out what really happened
Brian Fastner
Ohtani is also not from Tokyo. He's from a prefecture that's a two hour bullet train ride away. Like saying someone from DC is playing in their hometown in a game at fenway

More fun types of guys Catcher Who has Played a Million Years and Commands Universal Respect Active examples: Salvatore Perez; JT. Realmuto. Past examples: Yadi; Jason Kendall; Pudge; Benito Santiago; Piazza; Victor Martinez, Bench, Berra. Fan Favorite Utility Player Active examples: Tommy Edman, Marwin Gonzalez, Matt Carpenter, Nick Madrigal*, Willi Castro. Every fun team has one of these guys. They can be a scrappy young defensive specialist, an older guy aging into a bench role (i.e. Howie Kendrick, kicked ass), or someone who is really just mid but plays SO hard and is such a great clubhouse guy that everyone is rooting for him. *Nick Madrigal (out for the season, sucks) is also a Fuck the Three True Outcomes guy (one of the best types of guy: Ichiro; Tony Gwynn; Louis Arraez) Can play all over, doesn’t walk, doesn’t strike out, doesn’t hit dingers, constantly puts the ball in play.
