Hey Everyone!
This one has been a popular request for quite a while, so I'm excited to introducing my new Raccoon design! There are a few new features on this model that I hope you like. I've designed a new snap-fit head joint to add to my arsenal. There is a new sliding tail joint that lets you move the Raccoon from a standing position to a sitting position without the tail getting in the way.

Multicolor 3mf included (works in PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)! Each 3mf contains two head with slightly different color patterns. I also made a separate 4-Color and 3-Color option.

Head: Snap-Fit to Body. No supports needed.
Body: Print-In-Place. No support needed.
Multicolor 3MF: includes both 3 and 4 color Multicolor 3MF files (compatible with PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)
10%-15% Infill.
3 Walls
This should generally scale down to about 60% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

I’m new to 3D printing and I chose this as my first real print and it looks so good and so cute but the ball joint on the head immediately split apart when I put it on, is there something I might have missed or did wrong?

Hello! Do you mind sharing the filament used for the eye/nose color on raccoon #3? My apologies if it's one of the ones listed - I didn't see one that looked like the eye color. These are amazing! Love every single print of yours that I have done!

Update. Using 2 mm of brim outside only at 0.1 mm distance worked fine and finally the model was printed. Which is awesome. I just found that the head movement is a bit hard. Seems that the head could not fit until the end (could not feel the click this time). So the head moves but very hard.

i made a few at 65 body and 65 haeds did not work I also test it with the head size to. at 66 /66.5/67/67.5/68/68.5/68.7/69 did not work can some one tell the size diff here I lose my mind and filament

This model failed 4 times. The tail tiny joints get of plate after 30-40%. I tried to put glue stick that I never had to use on bambu, but failed again, so now I am trying with brim outside. Maybe the pieces in contact with the bed could be a bit larger from beginning.

Actually I worked with Matt earlier the week on a revised head socket, and it works really well.

PLA is cheap. Don't cut corners. Also when I assemble the head to the body I heat the head joint with a butane torch to soften it just a bit. Makes for easier assembly.

I love the racoon but had a balljoint failure when I put the head on. I may have gone to light on build as I did 2 walls and 10% rectilinear infill.
