Not directly related to carbon emissions, but I use horticultural grade (comes in 20% and 30% concentration) vinegar as a weed killer. Non toxic to pets and kids.

Since tire wear is affected by hard breaking, I would think electric cars (who don’t need to break anywhere near what ICE vehicles do) would actually have less tire wear.
