Those are called vertically oriented solar panels. Basically gets rid of the duck consumption production imbalance by producing the most energy in the morning and afternoon. Since solar is so cheap, how about facing 1/2 the array east and 1/2 west to maximize the diration. Use 2x as many panels… Its kind of specific to an a frame with no south facing roof…
