No. DC chargers the rectifiers are in the station.
Good discussion about Waymo. The comparison should mention that 30 incidents represents 10% of the fleet, a much higher % than human drivers.
Re problems with EA chargers damaging Rivian trucks: Don't be too quick to blame only EA for these problems. The battery charging is controlled by rectifiers in the truck, isn't it? The truck charging system has to be able to regulate the voltage and current levels going to the battery. If the truck is damaged during charhing, there is a good probability that the problem is at least partly on Rivian; certainly not all on EA. The conclusion is still the same: get yourself a Tesla.
