Correct. The closest thing we Americans have to “Victorian” is our Gilded Age (c. 1877-1892) when our aristocracy adopted Victorian values while living in ill-gotten luxury. Then came the Progressive Era, the reaction to the Gilded Age, which is the American equivalent of the British Edwardian Age and the French Belle Époque…

but americans did not live under queen victoria, it was civil war era reconstruction era etc, not accurate to refer to any americanisms like cowboys as victorian
