Bots running - updates
🕑 Added 2021-02-06 08:56:14 +0000 UTCLast week we introduced a separated discord channel with all bots running. The idea is to make much more easy to find at all times which bots I’m running and the fundings assigned. I also include a few requirements like, if it needs a special tier.
I didn’t send the update article las week to see if this approach could replace the usual “bots update” weekly article.
I’m sending this poll now to get see how you feel about that. Do you want to keep the “bots running“ discord channel and feel is enough for you? Do you prefer to go back to the bots updates weekly articles from next week and prefer to get that sent to your email inbox? Or do you have a good argument for needing both?
It might take a bit more of my time, which I have very little left these days to produce new content so I wanted to let you guys vote. I’ll pick up the results on Monday.

Quick question. When you update a bot, we need to click on the bot link in the database and either copy it or look at what the new settings are and then adjust our bots to match, is that correct?

yeh many patrons have been brainstorming ideas to do this. A great idea but one for the future as we grow!
If I may make another suggestion: It would be useful to have the bot status info right at one glance, eg. have some kind of simple dashboard on your new website which shows the live status of all bots for your supporters; set up automatic notifications on changes for discord and maybe something daily via email - Ricardo is right, emails get read; it's an important channel. I haven't checked but I guess the 3commas API should let you do smth like this and there's probably a lot of freelancers out there who can implement this quite cheaply. Just make sure to be careful with the API key. ;)
Emails always ensure the update gets read and having it in the Discord channel allows for quicker reference
