Ren'Py Developer Update - July 2023
🕑 Added 2023-07-31 15:28:15 +0000 UTCGreetings, everyone, and welcome to the July 2023 Ren’Py developer update. This was a bit of a complicated month for me when it came to working on Ren’Py. Earlier this month I had to take a license test (passed it!), during the middle I had a medical issue (better now), and for the last few days I’ve been working on Ren’Py from up in the mountains.
The good news is two new features were added to Ren’Py this month, one of which is done and one of which is still being worked on. So in this month’s article I’ll talk about them and how to use them in your game.

News feature is working here. It isn't available on Web version due to libraries not being supported, if that's what you're trying to use.

Excited for the emoji support! We ended up creating a custom text tag to do that in Space to Grow but it'll be really nice to have them built-in in the future!
