Bummed to find out Hayes music taste is ass

Hum is probably the only shoegaze band the boys would enjoy

kinda surprised no one said anything about slowdive or ride.

I really get Sean’s My Bloody Valentine ‘dilemma’ of feeling the need every so often to like get into them, but then not. I don’t think I listen to anything that specifically identifies as ‘shoegaze’ but do listen to bands that are offshoots of the genre, which I didn’t really realize until listening to this. Fun episode. Also, HypeMan Hayes running these streets blasting AOT themes is awesome/hilarious.

Thanks for the recs. I mostly know of the genre through bands like superheaven and soul blind. I'd listened to Nothing since they had a split with Whirr but True Widow and Cloakroom are cool

This was cool! The Relapse Records shoegaze bands (Cloakroom, Nothing, True Widow, etc.) would probably be up the hosts' alley.

I tried to wrap my brain around that one. As a big fan of MTB and a lot of shoegaze, I wanted to get it. Couldn't get there.

Minus the Bear is shugazi? I’d say it’s emo pop/rock with some ‘math’ elements

I think Chrome by Catherine Wheel is a great shoogazey album that is a bit more accessible. See "Show Me Mary" or "Strange Fruit".

I think Sean would like the last two albums by Low

My Bloody Valentine is so dope
