The only flaw in that AT&T commercial is that the AT&T employee thinks LaMelo is trying to win RoY a second time. He says “you already won rookie of the year” which proves that he knows LaMelo already won it. Maybe he doesn’t know it’s impossible to win RoY more than once, why wouldn’t he think LaMelo is aspiring to win MVP or any award other than RoY?

Ones, you’ve gotta adjust your Chetxpectations. No one here in OKC is expecting to get KD with Chet. Or Porzingis. The excitement about taking him at 2 tonight is about his fit with Shai & Giddey, his impact on defense, and the fact that he potentially has the highest ceiling of any of these guys. Paolo does appear to be the most NBA-ready of the group, but the Thunder have time and the roster makeup (and draft picks) to be patient and take a shot on a potential unicorn type guy that needs more time to develop.
